I think we have the worst politics in the region if not the world. Our politics is never about issues and is never embedded in an agenda. More or less the Simba- Yanga type of rivalry.

I usually ask myself, why are we not asking our politicians the right questions? Why are we not monitoring their development agenda to asses their viability for election or re-election? Why are we always driven by cosmetic rhetoric agendas and not development agendas? Are we cursed?

My answer to these questions is simple. Our politics is an ass. Purely stupid. That is why after every five years we have this STUPID SEASON where about everyone is emotionally driven and stand to what they do not believe.

Anyway, I guess it does not hurt to play the ASS game.

IF YOU CANT BEAT THEM, JOIN THEM.

Ass game, we accept it aisee.. If we were any serious none of em would mess with people's interest.

Lol!,.....that heading tho!

Our politics resembles the word you mentioned probably because we're not politically matured. Politics in our country' s still at its infancy as we haven't really experienced anything different when it comes to the government & administration,....same party, same leaders, same rhetoric, since the Independence (though we have a multi party system in place) we either didn't want to try something new or maybe scared of changes, and for that simple reason I don't think we were courageous enough to 'question' our politicians or even monitoring them for elections or re-election. Hopefully this election will be different. People are fed up with ccm propaganda machine, I guess we're ready to embrace changes and seems like this time around, wananchi mean business.

But isnt the 'option' the same as CCM? I see no difference with those who are trying to displace the status quo. As a matter of fact, I see no agenda from them apart from the changes they seek. I think development of a country is more than just displacing CCM.

A new beginning.Tanzanian are sick and tired of same old same old.Tanzanian yearn for a new beginning,a new beggining on a clean slate. 2015 election is more than run of mill elections of the past, 2015 election is about a revolution- a rebirth,a second coming.

That's a valid point you made, the development of our country is more than just displacing CCM. But mkuu the reality is, I don't think people are interested any more in hearing long ccm-like empty promises that's been preached every 5 years with no lucrative results, people have been flocking to Ukawa for the reason that, they hope there's going to be some sort of change. At this point even if ccm comes up with a TIMETABLE chances are, a common mwananchi who's been struggling to make ends meet won't buy it so long as they hear "change" on the other side of the Isle, and most likely people are not even sure if Ukawa is capable of making changes, (i.e transforming the status quo) but they're just going for it anyways. I don't say it's a smart thing to do but right there, shows you how desperate people are and would go for anything with the exception of ccm.
