Why Raila lost

1. 2007 post election violence

No mater how you look at it, 2007 pev is the mother of all the reasons why he lost.
Without it
(a) UhuruKenyatta could never have commanded the kingly respect he command among the Kikuyus and Mt Kenya comunities.
(b)UhuruKenyatta could never have taken presidential elections with such seriousnes as he demonstrated in the just concluded elections.
(c) ICC could never have happened which brought the winning combination of UhuRuto
(d)Without ICC,the residents of MtKenya and Rift valley could never have given the elections as much importance as they did.
(e)Without 2007pev and ICC, Ruto and Raila might never have gone separate ways

2. His abusive insultive hateful and arrogant nature and speak

"they are criminals" ,"wakitaka kuenda waende","mavi na nzi", "kabila adui", "wezi wa mashamba", "akiamka bangi..."

In all honesty, even for those who voted for him, they did so coz of
. Threat and blackmail by USA ,Britain and the like.
.Uhuru's(the only potent alternative) ethnic origin.

Raila had practically reduced the mighty ODM from what it was in 2007 to an ethnic party just before the last realignment that bore Jubilee and CORD. Infact its Uhurus candidacy that gave that gave both ODM and Raila some relevance.

Then they would result to "Kenya is not ready for another Kikuyu","Kikuyus are tribal" and every other campaign that would put Uhurus tribe in bad light to the rest of Kenya.

I'm not saying that Kikuyus are not 'tribal', the point is that they are as 'tribal' as every other community in Kenya..

One of the reasons that ODM/Raila termed the Kikuyus as tribal, according to them, is coz Kikuyus have 'never' voted for a non Kikuyu.At the presidential level,that might be partly true, yet, they wholesomely voted Mike Sonko, a Kamba, as first Nairobi Senetor. I say partly coz in the just concluded 2013 general elections, Raila got more voted over a thousand per constituency in Kikuyu hertlands as compared to less than hundred per constituency in Luo heartlands that Uhuru got. A place like Ugenya(luo) raila could get 40,000 votes while Uhuru got 70 votes, while a place like Othaya(Kikuyu) Uhuru gets 37,000 and Raila 1,200.

That not withstanding, there is no single community in Kenya that ever voted for a candiadate other than theirs while they have a serious one from their backyard, Be it Kisii,Luo or Kamba. As for Kikuyus, they have always had not only a serious candidate but a front runner.And this explains why they have never voted for another(although individual Kikuyus have voted for ather candidate other than Kikuyus). Its worth noting that, out of the eight(8) presidential candidates four(4) were Kikuyus, now do you call this tribalism all what?

Kibaki was accused of appointing 'only' Kikuyus into office, yet Raila did the same to Luos in the PrimeMinisters Office and Ambassadors.

Unlee "tribal" has another meaning other than its English one,there is no way sober man can say that Kikuyus are more tribal than the rest.

If you did a random opinion poll on who are the most tribal people, even a guy who has never interacted with a Kikuyu will probably tell you that the Kikuyus are, blame it on ODM/Raila propaganda with the help of the media.

And this bore fruits, its the above that made majority of those who voted for Raila to do so,"Uhuru is A Kikuyu and Kikuyus are evil" Every Kenyan knows that the guy is corrupt,nepotist,tribalist and all that, only that he managed to convince some Kenyans that he is "safi kama pamba" while his opponent is "mavi".

I dont blame Kenyans, i appreciate the power of propaganda, manipulation and deception, ODM/Raila's only weapon .

A Kikuyu will never Kill anyone or destroy his property coz he did not vote for their candidate.

Though he lost at very complex circumstances, it is said that he has the keys to the ICC process, that power rests to his hands to transfer the cases to either to arusha or the supreme court of kenya. if it goes to arusha, there is no guarantee that a non partisan court will undertake a credible process, the ICC was thought to be credible and independent. the only solution is to return the cases to a local tribunal, where they have the time to dig through evidence visavis relying on manufucturing video evidence via satelight uplinks .

here we are also talking talking of a man that perpetually compromises his stakes at arriving to the presidency. in 2002 raila said kibaki tosha, not because he wanted to unite the kikuyu and luo to the NARC coalition, but it was a aimed at dividing the kikuyu vote which successfully took place. kenyans should shun the word tosha from now henceforth. The results of the concluded election was a result of what Kenyans learnt from the 2007/8 events and decided to put their money where they could trust and hope, where there was no language of violence. Any serious contender for the presidency will have now to operate carefully not making the mistake of underating the voter.

And when i said Cord was only preaching hatred, dr job wanted me to support it with sources, man we live in kenya and bore it all.

The elections were a sham!
