I see total revenue safaricom for 2017 was Kshs195 bln not 10× Vodacom hardly 3x. And yet safaricom has 76% market share in Kenya compared to 31% for Vodacom in Tanzania.
Kama ni mfutialiaji wa mambo unaweza kuwa na mifano mingi ya serikali kubwa duniani zilivyo block manunuzi au take over ya makampuni binafsi (strategic ones) haswa ujio au uingizi wa wageni ambao serikali inaona kwa namna flan itaathiri maslah mapana ya nchi. Sina uhakika kama Vodacom inaangukia ndani ya makampuni ya aina hii ila nilitaka kukufahimisha yu kuwa serikali yaweza mda wowote kupiga kura ya veto kwa makampuni binafsi yalipo ndani ya nchi husika (angalia mfano wa google na uchina.. Angalia mfano wa Rais trump kupiga marufuku kampuni ya Uchina kununua kampuni kubwa ya utengenezaji semi conductors iitwayo LATTICE.. Safaricom net profit - KES 48 billion
Vodacom net profit - Tshs 47 billion = KES 2.13 billion
Safaricom net profit = Vodacom net profit x 22.5

That makes 22.5 times that of Vodacom.
Public companyVodacom is a privately owned company. Magufuli has nothing to do with how they run their enterprise. They are at liberty to do anything within the ambit of the law
