The WITS Student Law Journal of Southern Africa is an upstart journal housed within the University of the Witwatersrand and run completely by an editorial team of law students.
The aim of our journal is two fold:

1. To be the legal voice of SADC region, to connect academics, institutions, practitioners and students in the legal community across the region. As law students who are preparing to face the legal world, we are growing to understand the importance that law has on community, business, and society at large. We are beginning to understand the value of legal knowledge and its place in helping our greater community.

2. To encourage and promote the participation of the youth in law making initiatives, policy consideration, political discussion, and business development. The power of youth is highly underestimated and this initiative aims to uplift the youth of the legal community, the very place where all change in society and governmental thinking starts.
After all, we are the future law makers, politicians and economy drivers, and it is about time we accept that responsibility.

If anyone is interested in being a part of this network of youth empowerment and legal discussion as well as interested in submitting articles for our latest issue of film product for our online edition, please visit www.wslawjournal.org and sign up or send us an email.

We look forward to hearing from you
