Waziri wa Afya ametangaza visa vipya 147 vilivyothibitika baada ya sampuli 2,831 kupimwa ndani ya saa 24 zilizopita.
Maambukizi mapya yamerekodiwa kutoka kaunti 11 ambapo Nairobi ina visa (90), Mombasa (41), Kiambu (3), Nyeri (2) na Uasin Gishu (2). Vingine vimetokea Kajiado, Kilifi, Embu, Homa Bay, Murang’a na Machakos.
87 kati ya wagonjwa waliotangazwa leo ni Wanaume huku 60 wakiwa Wanawake, na umri wao ni kati ya mwaka mmoja na miaka 87.
Pia, wagonjwa 13 wamepona na wengine watatu wamefariki dunia.Wagonjwa waliopona hadi sasa ni 421 huku vifo vilivyorekodiwa vikifikia 58.

Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe on Thursday announced that the total number of COVID-19 infections in Kenya rose to 1,618 after 147 new cases were confirmed.
CS Kagwe, addressing the press during a tour of Kiambu County health facilities, said 2,831 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
All 147 new cases are Kenyans between the ages of 1-87 years, with 87 of them being males and the remaining 60 are females.
The infections are spread across at least 11 counties with Nairobi leading by 90 cases, followed by Mombasa with 41 and Kiambu with 3 cases.
Nyeri and Uasin Gishu counties recorded 2 cases each while Kajiado, Kilifi, Embu, Homa Bay, Murang’a and Machakos counties also confirmed new infections.
Nairobi’s cases were recorded in Kibra (35), Lang’ata (15), Makadara (9), Westlands (8), Embakasi Central (6), Embakasi West (5), Kamukunji (2), Mathare (1) as well as other areas.
CS Kagwe also revealed that 13 more patients were discharged in the last 24 hours hence bringing the total number of recoveries to 421.
Three other patients however died – 1 in Thika, Kiambu County, and 2 in Mombasa – taking the tally of coronavirus deaths to 58.
