Woman poisons her two daughters to death after argument with husband

A 25-year-old woman killed her two daughters on Wednesday before attempting suicide at their home in Kimwiriini village in Gatanga, Murang’a County.

Confirming the incident, Gatanga OCPD Paul Karobia said the woman identified as Esther Wambui poisoned the two girls following an argument with her husband over the phone on Tuesday.

The woman is then reported to ingested the same poisonous substance but survived and was rescued by neighbours.

She is admitted at Thika Level 5 Hospital while bodies of the young girls were moved to the same hospital’s mortuary.

The woman is expected to be arraigned after receiving treatment.
