Maybe I need to reintroduce myself with this absolutely gorgeous photo of us!
Majority of you have seen our two pretty girls and now son!
So I will just introduce you to us and not the kids per say!
My name is Phenny Awiti Spielfeld, and this right here is my better half❤❤❤
We are both HIV Positive!
We discovered we were positive at a time where HIV was considered a national disaster, like it is with the deadly Corona Virus presently!
I discovered I was positive in Form two, during a random HIV Test where the organization that carried out the tests was giving soda and bread. After testing positive, I told my bff, who told someone who told someone, and the news spread all over high school that I was HIV Positive.
I faced stigma and discrimination, developed opportunistic infections like tuberculosis. I came out publicly in 2017, on social media. And the journey has been incredible!
I met my better half around the same time, but officially started dating around 2018, because I was still struggling with his cultural background. He tested positive in 2009, after being infected by a lady he was dating back at his country.
He has been HIV Positive for 11years, and on ARVs for 11years. I have been positive for 28 years as I was born positive, and on ARVs for 12 years.
We are raising two girls and now a boy free from the virus. It is just a journey for the boy, and we are confident all will turn out well.
Keep sharing, narrating and owning your stories, because if you don’t, no one will! We are undetectable couple, meaning the virus in our bodies are very minimum, making it easier not to spread the virus to our babies.
😍😍😍😍😍
