You can cry all you want...after all is said and done, after all the awards have been given.... The amount of money generated from the entertainment industry in KE is more than Tz by 4 times....
BTW, our current minister of ICT is the former head of Google Sub sahara Africa... he is the one that made sure google,youtube is customised to Every sub saharan country... in the past, if you were from Africa, youtube denied you access to some videos...and it was imposible for local ads to be shown on their platforms...he changed all that... And then you find it difficult to belive that no kenyan company advertises on Youtube!?

Youtube hulipa wasanii kulingana na adverts zilizo angaliwa na viewers for atleast 3 sec. Kenya advdrtisment industry is more established and more aggressive due to high competition, thus unakuta for few views an artist gets paid more when someone from kenya watches than when another from tz watches same.
Same thing happens when local music is played on local tv or radio...in Tz or Ke...in Kenya they get paid more per airview....
I'm not sure how much they get paid for live performances but considering lots of Tz artists come to kenya to perfom even in small towns like Malindi, the money must bemore than what they get back home...

Tanzania
Tanzania’s total E&M revenue stood at US$504 million in 2016, but is set to more than double to US$1.1 billion in 2021, a 17.2% CAGR over the coming five years. The symbolic crossing of the US$1 billion mark is set to occur in 2021. This is significant growth from 2012 where the industry stood at just US$175 million.
