Namaanisha kwanini zinaitwa multipurpose! Kwamba unaweza kuitumia kwenye engine ya gari na engine ya mashine za migodini?
Oil zinatofautiana mkuu..kuna oil for ajili ya engine ya injini za magari, mashine nk..oil za kwenye injini za gari kuna za kutumika kwenye injini ya Petrol na Diesel (zinatofautiana kwenye kitu kinaitwa API rating) na hizi oil za injini za magari kuna mono grade(mfano SAE40) na kuna multi grade (mfano 5w-30,0w-20,20w-50.......) Na kwa hizi mono or multigrade nazo zimegawika katika makundi matatu..kuna mineral oil, kuna semi synthetic oil na kuna fully synthetic oil..haya makundi matatu kinacho tofautisha ni ingredients za additives...(and all oil nilizo zitaja hapo juu zinakua zinatumika kwenye injini zenye 4 stroke piston movement...so kwa injini yenye 2-stroke piston movement inakua na oil yake special ambayo ipo designed kwa 2 stroke injini maana oil hii inakua inachanganywa kwenye tank la mafuta machine yenyewe mfano zile chain saw, kuna vile vi generator vidogo, kuna pikipiki pia za two stroke.

Pia kuna oil zipo designed kutumika kwenye gears zinazo umana..mfano kwenye gari yenye dif nyuma (rear differential) na kwa gari zenye four wheel or all wheel drive kuna kitu kinaitwa transfer-case (nayo ina oil yake maalumu na watu wengi huwa hawabadilishi oil hii matokeo yake gari ina anza kuzingua uki engage gia-mfano kwa wale wenye rav4 old kuna ugonjwa unaitwa kiduku, huu ni ugonjwa unaosabibishwa na kuto change transfer-case oil).

Sasa kama wanunua multipurpose oil maana yake itakua na uwezo wa kufanya kazi kwenye injini ya petrol na Diesel but ni injini zenye four stroke piston cycle (yaan intake stroke, compression stroke, power stroke, then exhaust stroke) kama za magari..but sina uhakika kama multi purpose oil yaweze tumika kwenye 2 stroke engine- power stroke na exhaust stroke.

Na multi purpose oil haiwezi tumika kwenye differential na transfer case.

Na mashine za mgodi this too general statement, maana kwa mgodi kuna mashine nyingi, je ipi specific maana kila moja ina specific oil inayohitajika..na kwakua mashine nyingi za mgodi zina run at higher rpm for engine torque multiplication so hata oil zitakua zinatumia oil thick kidogo (above 20w-50) na kwa mashine oil changing interval huangalii kilometers bali una fanya oil change kwa hours machine imefanya kazi.

Sijui kama nimejibu as expected and within scope ya issue yako.
 
Unamaanisha ukitembea kms nyingi ubadilishe oil type hata kama manufacturer ka recomend hiyo? Mfano mimi kwenye manual book manufacturer ka recommend 5W-30

Gari yangu ni VITS Iina zaidi ya km 240,000 je nitumie oil gani.
Kama engine haili oil, haina haja ya kubadilisha..huwa tunabadilisha pale engine inapopungua oil pressure na kula oil..hii inakuwa ni suluhisho la muda..ila mwisho wa siku engine itahitaji rebuild..itabidi utafute bearings nene..
Na kwenye kubadilisha maintain number ya kwanza(cold start viscosity ibaki sawa) then ongeza ya pili(operating viscosity)..5w30 nenda 5w40.. na sio 10w30..

Sawa we weka 5w-30 ukaange gasket ianze kuvujisha pembeni kwenye top cover😅
Wenyewe wanakwambia 5W-30 inafaa kwenye nchi za baridi kama huko ulaya, huku bongo kwa kuwa kuna joto kali na gari zenyewe zina millage zaidi ya 100,000km basi oil sahihi ni 20W-50. Hatari sana hawa local fundi.
 
Mfano nimecheki oil ya gearbox bado iko na rangi nyekundu...

Nimecheki ya engine ndo nyeusi halafu iko na harufu ya petrol...

Pia naona bomba ya moshi ni kama inavujisha upepo...

Yaani unakuta unatembea spidi 40 lakini rpm inaenda hadi 3 huko....
Hahahahaha hilo tatizo inaweza kuwa gear slipping ndio inasababisha RPM ziruke
 
Tatizo hizo namba za 5w ama 10w lazma uchezee kipigo dukani, sijui kwanini 20W ni kitonga sana maeneo mengi ipo. Hizo 10w utaitafuta kwa tochi

Hydraulic oil kwa ajili ya nini ? Gari haitumii hydraulic bana , usisikilize maneno ya mitaani, kama ni kwa ajili ya steering au gearbox inatumia ATF ( AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID ) , angalia kwenye mfuniko wa wa hapo unapotaka kuongeza wameandika ATF type.
Hydraulic hutumika kwenye jacks, etc

Imagine unatumia oil SAE40 kwenye modern engine...asiee, si mchezo..yaan cold temperature ya injini during cold start kwa dsm haifiki hata 30°c lakini mwanawane ukawa unaitundika engine yako mono grade oil ya SAE 40....duh.. this oil is too thick...tumia hiyo 5w-40 huweze kuvuna advantage ya good oil flow at low temperature during cold start, but inayoweza maintain thickness inapokua exposed to high temperature consistently.
 
Umeelezea vizuri sana mkuu maswala ya oil nilichomaanisha hapo juu hakipo tofauti sana na haya maelezo yako labda niongezee zaidi nilichotaka kusema, nilisema nauza brand 6+1 za oil ambazo ni multipurpose nilikua nikimaanisha nauza oil kutoka kwenye makampuni 7 ambayo oil zake zinaingia kwenye gari ya brand yoyote Ile duniani, mfano Castrol inatumika kwenye magari yote ya Toyota, nissan, BMW etc lakini nauza pia oil za kutoka kwenye specific brand ya gari mfano oil za Benz ambazo zinatumika kwenye gari za Benz tu, na sio sehemu yoyote Ile ,Nisisitize oil ambazo nauza dukani kwangu ni...

Nadhani haujafahamu tofauti ya Synthetic Oil na Mineral oil. Hizi mbili ni tofauti sana hata kwenye durability.
 
Gari yangu na oil yangu natumia miezi isiyozidi 8 gari hata ukipark kwa miezi 10 hiyo oil ukamwage. But aina ya oil yangu ni classic nitakuwa mjinga kutumia kms 3,000.
