Naomba ushauri ninunue ENGINE OIL gani. Gharama zake unauzaje.
Oil zinatofautiana mkuu..kuna oil for ajili ya engine ya injini za magari, mashine nk..oil za kwenye injini za gari kuna za kutumika kwenye injini ya Petrol na Diesel (zinatofautiana kwenye kitu kinaitwa API rating) na hizi oil za injini za magari kuna mono grade(mfano SAE40) na kuna multi grade (mfano 5w-30,0w-20,20w-50.......) Na kwa hizi mono or multigrade nazo zimegawika katika makundi matatu..kuna mineral oil, kuna semi synthetic oil na kuna fully synthetic oil..haya makundi matatu kinacho tofautisha ni ingredients za additives...(and all oil nilizo zitaja hapo juu zinakua zinatumika kwenye injini zenye 4 stroke piston movement...so kwa injini yenye 2-stroke piston movement inakua na oil yake special ambayo ipo designed kwa 2 stroke injini maana oil hii inakua inachanganywa kwenye tank la mafuta machine yenyewe mfano zile chain saw, kuna vile vi generator vidogo, kuna pikipiki pia za two stroke.Hizo multipurpose ndio Full Synthetic ama nachanganya madesa?

Semi Synthetic na Synthetic oil - hizi zipo very refined.. Hasa hasa synthetic.. Ni oil zinazotengenezwa LAB kwa formula.. Kwahiyo molecules zake zipo uniform.. Flow inakuwa nzuri. Interval yake unaenda kilometers nyingi..

Grading ya Oil
Oil imekuwa graded na hawa SAE kwenye makundi 2. Monograde na Multigrade.
Mono kama jina lake.. Ina viscosity moja throughout. Wakati Multi ni zaidi ya moja.
MFANO wa Monograde SAE40.. Hii inakuwa na viscosity ya 40 kuanzia cold start mpaka operating temperature.. Kwahiyo ukiwasha gari inabidi uipe muda kidogo ili oil ipande vizuri kwenye engine.. Unaweza ukawasha gari then ukaenda kuoga.. Mpaka ukitoka mambo yamekaa sawa.
Hizi zinafaa kwa mazingira ambayo hakuna temperature change kubwa kwenye seasons kama hapa TZ..!
Mfano wa Multigrade 5W40.. Hii inabehave kama oil ya 5 viscosity kwenye cold start na 40 viscosity kwenye operating temperature.
Kwahiyo ukiwasha tuu gari. Oil itapanda chap kwenye engine haihitaji kusubiri muda. Hizi zinafaa kwenye mazingira yenye mabadiliko makubwa ya temperature ndani ya mwaka.
Hii inapunguza usumbufu wa kubadilisha oil wakati wa winter na summer.
0W40 ni nyepesi zaidi ya 5W30 kwenye winter(cold start) ila ni nzito zaidi kwenye summer(operating temperature).!

Wenyewe wanakwambia 5W-30 inafaa kwenye nchi za baridi kama huko ulaya, huku bongo kwa kuwa kuna joto kali na gari zenyewe zina millage zaidi ya 100,000km basi oil sahihi ni 20W-50. Hatari sana hawa local fundi.

Na kwenye kubadilisha maintain number ya kwanza(cold start viscosity ibaki sawa) then ongeza ya pili(operating viscosity)..5w30 nenda 5w40.. na sio 10w30..
Imagine unatumia oil SAE40 kwenye modern engine...asiee, si mchezo..yaan cold temperature ya injini during cold start kwa dsm haifiki hata 30°c lakini mwanawane ukawa unaitundika engine yako mono grade oil ya SAE 40....duh.. this oil is too thick...tumia hiyo 5w-40 huweze kuvuna advantage ya good oil flow at low temperature during cold start, but inayoweza maintain thickness inapokua exposed to high temperature consistently.Mkuu nilikuwa natumia SAE 40 hivyo unanishauri nitumie 5w 40

Na multi purpose oil haiwezi tumika kwenye differential na transfer case.
Na mashine za mgodi this too general statement, maana kwa mgodi kuna mashine nyingi, je ipi specific maana kila moja ina specific oil inayohitajika..na kwakua mashine nyingi za mgodi zina run at higher rpm for engine torque multiplication so hata oil zitakua zinatumia oil thick kidogo (above 20w-50) na kwa mashine oil changing interval huangalii kilometers bali una fanya oil change kwa hours machine imefanya kazi.

Hizi mbili ni tofauti sana hata kwenye durability.No problem mkuu....but it is all about choice mkuu hadi km 15,000 km kama manufacturer anavosema...but know that oil mpaka inafika km 8000+ imesha breakdown sana...kumbuka oil si kilometers, but to what extent imekua subjected to heat ili ku oxidize... So unaweza tembea hata km 2000 but under heavy application oil itakubidi uitoe umwage, au unaweza tembea km 2000 kwa mwaka lakini kama hazi 2000 km ni za short distance yaan zima washa zima washa gari, basi oil hii itakubidi ndani ya miezi sita utoe kwakua itakua na gasoline contamination so ita breakdown na kutofaa kwa matumizi ya lubrication.
Pia unaweza kua na km chache lakini injini ina masaa mengi ina operate bila gari kutembea..so people dont consider this, they only consider distance gari imetembea na si muda injini imefanya kazi..my friend.
