13 killed in grisly road crash at Awasi along Kisumu-Kericho Highway

13 people have been killed and scores of others injured in a grisly road accident near Awasi along the Kisumu-Kericho Highway.

The accident which occurred minutes before midnight involved an Eldoret Express bus from Kisumu and a truck heading in the opposite direction.

35 casualties with multiple injuries evacuated to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching & Referral Hospital(JOOTRH), Awasi Mission Hospital & Hope Medical Hospital

Bodies of the deceased taken to Ahero hospital mortuary by police.
