Starting the day with the right setup is the perfect start to a stress-free and happy day. Making few changes can help us live happier and become more efficient. Below is a list of few good habits that can change our day and on the long run our life.

1. Drinking A Glass Of Water After Waking Up

Drinking water in the morning instantly rehydrates our body, stimulates up our digestive system, and gets things flowing. This can contribute to a clearer skin and better digestion. We can even mix it up, by adding some fresh lemon juice or a tablespoon of the famous apple cider vinegar.

2. Stop Checking Our Phones Or Emails For At Least 1 Hour After Waking Up

According to a study, every average person checks their phone at least 85 times and the number is rising. Most of the people sleep with their phones right next to them, and the first they do after waking up is checking their phone. Instead of wasting our time on checking our email or posting a new status on social media, we should all spend that time on ourselves. Make yourself an easy healthy breakfast, drink a cup of coffee and relax. We will instantly notice the benefits of having a clearer mind, being happier and more focused.

3. Think Of One Thing We Are Grateful For

This sets the stage for positivity throughout the day. If we come up with three or five things, even better.

4. Step Outside And Take A Deep Breath

Wake up, step outside, take a deep breath and fill your lungs with fresh air. Even if it’s cold outside it will only take 10 seconds. It will provide fresh oxygen to our bodies and wake us up and instantly cheer us up.

5. Move Our Bodies

It doesn’t mean that we have to run a marathon. We can start with few easy movements to wake up our body and after breakfast even a short workout. It will stimulate blood circulation, wake your body and prepare you for the upcoming tasks.

6. Take Time To Eat A Easy Healthy Breakfast

Breakfast is the most important meal and we shouldn’t be eating cereals or fast food that early in the day. We can spend 15 minutes to prepare ourselves an easy healthy breakfast. Preparing eggs or any other healthy breakfast and squeezing some fresh juice will take maximum 15 minutes. The healthy breakfast will provide us with all the nutrients that our bodies need to work properly.

7. Say Our Affirmations
Look into the mirror and say something positive to yourself.

All or any of these habits may seem as not needed or silly, but all of them bring enormous health benefits. Once we start with them, we will notice the health benefits such as living a less stressful life, improved digestion, improved circulation and most importantly living a happier and more fulfilled life.

You can easily achieve #6 but good luck with # 2. I know it is a huge challenge maybe 5 minutes but not one hour. 🙂🙂🙂

I'm trying hard to work on number 2 and 6. Hopefully will be my new year reso.
