Huyu mwanadada amefanya responsible jounerlism kwa kuenda nchi ambayo imetumia technology hio na kupata ripoti from the horses mouth.

I think this technology caters for 80% of all the environmental concerns. And lamu can continue to be a World heritage site even with a coal power plant. Tena isitoshe, the ash produced from the plant can be supplied to local cement plants...

1)Coal is to be imported from south Africa which is just silly and stupid since there is coal in kitui.

2) The plant will produce electricity at a higher cost than Geothermal,Hydro and wind at an average $0.9 cents per kwh. Not worth it as our current Geothermal and hydro($0.6 and $0.5 cent) still has vast untapped capacity. Kenya's Peak demand is 1800mw while available power is 2500mw and now 2800mw with Lake turkana windpower plugged into the grid. This is just a tenderprenureship driven project for "reserve" capacity billions.

3)Lamu is a unesco world heritage site,it does not need a dirty coal plant.

Let them relocate the plant to a remote area in kitui and mine the coal there.

A jealous Tanganyikan talking.
