Gone are the days I used to hit the bottle like you. My untold addiction hardly made me push through. Been through sleepless nights and restless days, with nothing to do. Painful mockery from folks had me contemplating following you.
My coming of age had nothing to prove. Your departure made me realize I had something to lose. Now with nothing to lose, I no longer feel confused. I am ready for a head-on with whoever steps in my shoes.
Not sure your siblings miss you the way I do. Your kinsman still sticking his nose in my business, it’s true. At times I get devilish feelings, like making his face black and blue. Your kinswoman too.
The passage to you has always been thru dreams. Met you couple of times, no blockages to our realms.
I miss you, though your memory lives on. Can’t wait for the day you welcome me home.
