The Bunge can be a very interesting theatre for epic stories of which authors like Irving Wallace could be inspired to write best seller tantalising novels which film makers like Oliver Stone or Steven Spielberg would make block blasters. The peak of the current saga on Prof. Mussa Assad could make a very moving scene in a movie where the CGA is shown being arrested by fierce looking no nonsense policemen in full combat gear and with sirens blasting, driven under heavy guard to the airport and put on a chartered plane.

The director would definitely want to make the most of the scene through lighting so as to have impact and to leave up to the realities of African politics of fear and intimidation – ‘’they come at midnight,’’ the arrest surely must take place in the small hours of the night.

The camera crew not to be left out would shoot this scene from different angles, zooming in and out on the face of the CGA and the arresting policemen sweating in the heat of Dar es Salaam.

What is to take place in Dodoma I leave to the imagination of the script writer.

Can anyone come up with the title of the movie?

It was only my imagination running away with me.

What about, ‘’The Tale of Two Professors – Malima and Assad.’’

There was a time in the Bunge where a group of about 60 to 80 MPs who would always jeer at Prof. Malima every time he spoke inside or outside Bunge buildings or during debating of bills that he was supposed to defend.

This anti-Malima Group had able journalists who excelled in portraying Prof. Malima negatively in their papers.

Interesting even the President, Ali Hassan Mwinyi himself was at times not spared.

It was during these interesting moments of the Bunge that it is believed the 1994 Ministry of Finance Budget speech was leaked to the Anti-Malima Group before it was presented to the Bunge by the minister Prof. Malima.

The day before the budget speech the Anti-Malima Group, it later came to be known, locked themselves in a hotel room in the city centre coaching each other on how to tackle Prof. Malima the following day.

Reflecting on the leaked budget speech Prof. Malima in his sense of humour said that the moment the MPs began commenting on his speech he had a vision of marking a paper of dumb students who had cheated an examination.

I am waiting for the grand finale of the Prof. Assad’s movie which is in the making.

MS, Malima and Asad are worlds apart.

Asad is a man who lives his word, while Malima was a break loose and play acting believer.

Malima's play act did not convince even Mzee Mwinyi, a righteous man indeed, let alone being of the same faith.

You only fail to note the distinction between the two Proffessors, one is a politician, Malima, sworn to lie his way through any thick and thin situation.
The other ,Asad, a revered and acknowledged academician, sworn to speak the truth.
And Asad speaks the truth as it is, that appeals to all, whatever ones spiritual calling.
