About 50 per cent of the total alcoholic beverages consumed in the country is illicit liquor despite the Government's efforts to contain the trade of the counterfeit product. In March this year, the Government re-launched the second crackdown on illicit brew, in an attempt to clamp down illegal liquor businesses in the country. The crackdown that was re-launched in 25 counties, targets alcoholic drinks that have not been approved by Kenya Bureau of Standards and those whose manufacturers operate without the required licences.

Mabingwa wa chang'aa hao. "Unazima taa unafikiri ndo ntaondoka". Kumbe taa bado zinawaka ila macho yake ndo yamezima.
Ni shidaa.
