Whatever it is that u have drunk/smoked or sniffed pls stop it! it does not work for u! leaders are a reflection of the people! and if CCM's leaders are "visionless"then its a reflection of the Tanzanian society!..again at no time has Kenya been in competition with Tanzania!.We r not in the same league!.... even though we want the best for u-no wonder we have been offering our selfless services to ua country-...know giants are not made in 3yrs...change us people's attitude and the right leaders will emerge among u...hope u will catch up with us in the next 103yrs!

Teh...teh.....
illusion compounded with wishful thinking..
Inachekesha sana... teh teh.

Kenyans, go ahead guys. Here in TZ only 20% of ppl have electricity in their homes...and ppl dont bother as are busy feeding this HUGE catapillar called CCM...

Apoligize quick. Caterpillar transform into beautiful butterflies ,unlike grotesque CCM, our greatest perennial political shame.

moyo, kwenye red: did you really mean that? Tanzania being a visionless society?

I found this discussion interesting.I respect people's views even when they say nothing. my understanding of the original article is this; kenya is gearing for a rapid growth and to do this it has identified lack of energy as the greatests hurdle after roads and all. Among the sources to be developed is Geothermal power for which the country has a capacity to produce 7000MW; wind power is another sources and the country is said to have a capacity to produce another 3000MW of wind power.
over the next four years or so, the country will generate an additional 700 MW from geothermal and wind sources. Another 600MW of geothermal is is in the pipeline and 450MW of wind power are also likely to be on stream by 2018.So we are talking about maybe 10000MW from green energy sources.
That can make a country an industrial giant anywhere in the world. and the first step towards this goal has been made.

Kawaida, ni watanzania wachache au asilimia chache wanaohesabika hapa JF huchangia mambo yenye substance. Wewe vile nionavyo huna susbstance. Yakiwekwa ya Tanzania very few are able to contribute susbstance.

Umenikumbusha jinsi TBC ilivoshabikia PEV Kenya with minute by minute updates za Marini Hassan akitangaza kutoka Sirikwa Hotel Eldoret! and elsewhere.

talking of 400mw while in tz we have launched one of over 2500MW. kenyan mind will always remain kenyan, no matter how exposure they get. barbaric.

so how come you have incessant power shortages?

Couldn't agree more with you.

Tanzania is bigger than kenya, has a larger population is blessed with natural resources like gas which can be used in power generation so for its posters to take pride in what they have and fail to realise that the govt should have done more is to think small. These two countries should not even be competing in this sector, Tz should be far ahead.

Kenya goes it alone fertilizer plant that will supply region with much needed fertilizer to boost agri- production source The East African .Question why not Tanzania with abundance of natural gas, raw material for fertilizer production?

I nod Kenyans momentum but doesn't mean Tanzanians are behind.Time will tell whose economic will grow to a powerhouse in the region for the next ten years.

The ghosts of ujamaa still haunt Tanzanians
