Good afternoon members,i have humax ir 2020hd but it has a problem it switches on and stop on standby.please kung 1 help me.

According to the measat website the global footprint covers Africa and hence you can access it with a 1.8m

What i am not sure about is whether there are alot of channels on this bird that are encrypted using b*ss keys. The good channels on this bird must be docubox hd and a few. Kungu highlight you on the same. However most b*ss keys can be accessed through google.

Good Morning Banysat and Welcome on-board the FTA flight.

Down load the latest firmware patch from>>> Sat Upload Center | Humax | Strong | Dreambox | Tv Channels | Sky Star 2 | Biss | Keys.

Download firmware SRT4920_4922_4922A_119p_130308.zip>>

Unzip the download firmware and store content onto your flash-disk.

Insert the flash-disk onto the receiver usb port>>

Select MENU on your remote then select External Device.

Select File Manager.

Select the firmware form the list of files on your flash-disk.

Click ok on your remote to upgrade the firmware on the receiver.

Your receiver will reboot once the new firmware patch is loaded.

To active or de-active the patch, enter code 6969 again 6969

To access Biss key table enter code 8280 when the patch is active.

Other codes >>>> 8281 CS and 8282 for encryption table.

Once you activate the patch, you will be able to view SA*C channels on Intelsat 20 SA footprint.

Good Afternoon Philolando,

You will only be able to lock onto the channels under DVB-S modulation using a 1.8 meter prime focus dish in Kenya.

For the channels under DVB-S2 modulation, you will require a 2.4 meter prime focus dish or higher.

You can only open one channels on Measat 3 under Biss key (TV 3 Frequency 3786 V)

The main Fta English channels on the bird include, RTM 2, Edge sports HD, The African Channel, RT HD, RT documentary HD,
English club tv.

The other encrypted channels are on and off during different periods.

Good Afternoon Frengwa,

Run factory default on your receiver so as to reset any bug affecting your receiver.

If your receiver continues to restart, check the circuit power supply board for any swollen up capacitor.

Look for swelling on the tops of the caps, and also along the base of the caps. Take note of the brownish ---- oozing from the bases, that is electrolyte .
In some cases, you may also catch a whiff of a strange odor permeating the room, and this time it wasn't those refried beans you had for lunch.
The smell kinda reminded me of an ammonia-like smell.
Whatever it may smell like to you, the aroma is very distinctive!!

You may also notice that the capacitor isn't sitting flush to the board. If they're tilted and pointing in every which direction, that is not normal.
The bases of good capacitors will be sitting flush to the board, and the cap should be at a near perfect 90 degree angle.

Bad capacitors cause sat receivers to randomly and/or constantly reboots itself.
The Receiver can also fails to fully boot.

current project:upgrading my nilesats from 90 to a 120 dish.

How about Yahsat (52.5E), Measat (91.4E) or Thaicom (78.5E)? Just an idea...
 
Hi kungu,i have successfuly downloaded the new firmware into my str4922.Now i'm trying to connect my D-link dir412 router to explore the entertaiment feature but cannot get connected it justs show network error when i try to log, can somebody please come to my rescue and my ip settings are as follows:
DHCP on
IP Address 192.168.000.100
Subnet Mask 255.255.255.000
Gateway 192.168.000.001
DNS 192.168.000.001
MAC Address 00:22:d3:91:b9:e0
On the rooter i get all four lights on and the second from left flashing and the 3g usb modem also flashing.

Hi all, I'm new to FTA and really thankful for you guys. I have just started with one 90cm on Nilesat 201 and will add two more dishes and a receiver month end. Need some help with getting an RS232 cable, update for Eurostar EB9700 Gold+ and advice on how/whether that EB9700 receiver works with B*ss. Anyone?

Hi there Banysat,

If your network supports DHCP, IP settings can be allocated automatiocally. If the Network
does not support DHCP, the Addresses must enter manually(Static IP).

I would advice that you put the DHCP option off on your receiver and it will automatically get the IP address of the router.
