Six feet yes, "fiber thing" no.

Using Supermax LNB as an egAnd Star TV tp 4122 V 2381,
Set your lnb to 5150 @ your receiver
Facing the dish, or standing in front of the dish.
If your lnb is in position 1, H - Edit tp, it should be 4122 h 2381.
If in position 2, V - it should be 4122 V 2381.
Follow the line as lnb depth guide . 8 ft should be a walk in the mall. View attachment 1164854

Second hand 8fts on Olx are going for $150 am sure you can bargain down to $120 instead of going for a new 6ft with the sh 12K.

CAN I PAINT MY DISH?

I have recently bought a second hand 8ft dish. It is still ok, but the inside of the plate has some rusting.

I was wondering if it's ok to paint it as a way of stopping further rusting.

Any experience please?

i was thinking about using mesh material. Havent decided on which type.What kind of aluminium sheet material is the most appropriate?which gauge?do i rivet it into the framewok?

It will perform way better with solid material compared to mesh..

You can use 0.8 to 1mm aluminium plate... But if you cannot get a plate just mesh it.. the thickness must be very low for easy flexibility and curving but strong enough for durability.

You can rivet the plate but a quick fix would be to drill small holes on the plate then tie it to the frame using some kind of binding wire..

Yes you can paint your dish any colour you want. I prefer yellow 😅

Gently scrap of the rust possibly with a sand paper before you apply paint and use spray paint if you can.

But not with a shining paint for that will let your lnb life expand be short.
