African Satellite World and Sat Gear

African Satellite World and Sat Gear

Well! I hope you checked too that they indicate the tp reading from the same sat with TSTV ( 45e) yet its from 46.
FlySat indicates that they are new chanells , and uploaded on 23/24 - 09-2019.I give FlySat the benefit of doubt.

You only need a 4k decoder.. if it has the normal RCA Audio Video outputs which many do, you can use it to connect to even an old analogue CRT TV ... But the picture quality won't be 4K.

You can still use the HDMI output to connect to your current tv.. but the picture quality won't be 4K just normal HD.
Very true. am wondering how SD looks on a 4K tv esp 55". And not satellite SD channels which have respectable picture quality unlike kenyan ones but a station like NTV.
Also i'v noted 4K movie torrents have a pale washed out picture quality unlike 4K youtube content, thought i dont have an explanation for this, all this observations are from a 1080p TV.also noted that 50" is the best max optimum size for 1080p stuff, past that size u have to get 4K. In my opinion though HDR is the big deal esp now Sony & LG are now putting HDR on non 4K tvs esp 49" 1080p. They'r available right here in Kenya.
Guys with 4K tv sets esp 55" can give us feedback on SD content on those sets. 55" is best guinea pig size for this particular Experiment as 65" is too big and SD picture will be too stretched and any 4K Upscaling benefits Will be lost in the humongous stretching. For us Africans it's a major concern as 90% of our broadcast tv is still plain same ol' SD 476p aspect ratio 4:3. Now thats a shame. In a nutshell, 4K is confusing til we experiment for ourselves.

Like you said 4K starts making sense at 42 or 50" and above...

Any screen size below 50" and your eyes and brain won't be able to tell the difference between 1080p and 4K. 1080 will look just as good. Stretch the screen a little further and you'll see the difference between 4K and overstretched 1080.

So anyone salivating to 4K better get a huge screen first.

Funny in Africa we're envying 4K while the world has moved on to 8K.. but 8K again starts making sense over 4K when the screen is 92" or larger. Anything smaller and the human eye won't be able to tell the difference.
