Hello mtuko2.

According to info gleaned from a different forum, you can get the Kenyan DTT channels on Intelsat 22 C-band on a 1.8 to 2.4 meter prime focus dish. What is required is a receiver or tuner card compatible with Multi Input Stream so as to handle the Multistream aspect of the frequency. So far, there are 2 tuner cards that handle this modulation aspect:

1. TBS6925 DVB-S2 Professional TV Tuner PCIe Card
tbs6925_3.jpg
TBS6925 PCI-E DVB-S2 Professional TV Tuner card, built with the highest industry standard, with its rock reliability . The applying of an unique DVB-S2 demodulator chipset makes it possible to receive special streams broadcast with ACM, VCM, Multi Input Stream, 16APSK,32APSK or Generic Stream Mode.
The built in hardware blind scan feature allows scanning of unknown satellite transponder with symbol rate as low as 200ksps, while most satellite receiving device can receive no less than 1Msps symbol rate. Such blind scan feature can be achieved by dedicated TBS tool or Crazyscan tool.

2.TBS5925 DVB-S2 TV Tuner USB
tbs5925.jpg
TBS5925 is a Professional level digital satellite TV Tuner box with USB2.0 connection to PC. TBS5925 supports not only normal DVB-S2/DVB-S QPSK, 8PSK which is supported by normal satellite receivers, but also ACM, VCM, Multi Input Stream, 16APSK and 32APSK mode, which most satellite receiving devices don’t support.

With the use of these dedicated TBS tools, those special streams can be captured. Both Windows BDA driver and Linux driver up to the latest kernel 3.X are provided.

The price of each goes for about 250 dollars. You can purchase the tuner cards from either, Aliexpress,www.tbsdtv.com or www.buydvb.net/

Below snapshots taken by members of Dishworld forum based in Germany. Most of the dishworld members are using a 2.3 meter prime focus dish in Germany to access the Kenyan DTT channels on Intelsat 22.

Hi All, I wanted to say I was also really happy to find this forum (by chance) today, after having messed around with other forums, after the old RDI forum died. I learnt a great deal from the old forum, mostly from Kungu, but then stopped playing with sat dishes for a year or two. I am now anxious to read all of his posts on this one. I have just cleaned off my old sat gear, put up a 1.2 metre Ku band offset dish (in Nairobi) on a nice strong vertical pole, bought an SRT 4922, and am now enjoying masses of FTA from Nilesat and its co-positioned sats. I have just mounted a smaller dish to see what goodies are on SES5, I used to actually have a TopTV subscription and viewing card, but I see that South African firm has gone into 'Business Protection', eaten up by DSTV, and now about to be resuced, it would seem, by Star and the Chinese!

i receive it with 1.8m very stable signal just like the 88e. but can't nail 105.5E can i receive it

AsiaSat 3S 105E footprint doesnt cover Ethiopia guess you need a 3.0M pan going up to nab the bird whereas
Asiasat 5 100E covers most of Ethiopia well.

Welcome sir. Quick suggestion: Consider combining the SES5 & Nilesat LNB on one dish so as to free up the smaller dish to hunt other birds. Just an idea. Karibu sana, and feel at home.

Hi Guy's. i salute everybody in the house. I'm trying to track Kenyan channels on either 10°E or 72.1°E to no success. My location is Kapenguria, dish size 2.4m and Astrovox vsr 9155 HD Waiting for your valuable feedback.
