also some of these dishes currently available are optimised for "Transmit only" that is they are to be used for uplink and are not meant for TVRO or TV Recieve Only.. as most manufacturers (especially from UK and US) often assume people nolonger watch TV through big dishes and their target market remain just broadcasters.
Probably right

Yes, it was with fabricated LNB arms. My focal length/ point is not optimum. However the LNB arms are adjustable. What's the recommended length for the arms. My location is Kampala.
In Kampala you shouldn't struggle. even a 8ft pf should nab all interesting TPs

Edson, your focal point is way off. Your location is very prime use Cosmote TV tp. on EutelSAT 9B @9°E as a test point

Vicwa, has a 2.4m offset antenna. If he can share the LNBf arms' parameters you maybe sorted

The dimensions and depth of the dish matter.

GIDEN, this is a 2.4m Channel Master© off-set satellite antenna. There has never been a Channel Master Chinese copy.

If the antenna can't lock on Amos 3 then something is seriously wrong either with focal length or plumbline.

Plz help me in setting this receiver wiz-999 hd. Especially how to blind scan because have just exchange the receiver on my setup with one 4 dsc switch

I don't refute that my friend but for accuracy purposes he should provide the above details to Vicwa . Its true its grossly underperforming, i believe he is using a shadow focal point.

I recently acquired a 2.4m Channel master/ Andrews offset & to my dismay, it's not outperforming the 135cm I had to the extent I expected, especially on 4°W; I struggle to lock the HDs TP even with a dish this big. I get the TP but it's not stable. The TP stabilizes though when I join a C-band on offset conical scalar ring to my lnb. I use an Inverto Black Ultra but it's not designed to work on this kind of dish. The Black Ultra's feed horn is too small & certainly doesn't Illuminate the entire surface of the dish. Even though the scalar ring I'm apparently using is not designed for ku-band reception, it still gives me a slight marginal gain. That's where the feed horn I'm looking for becomes handy. I except the gain to be very significant.
I also use 2.4 channel master fiber dish. I strongly believe that the focal point of your dish is inaccurate. Maybe you use mine as a reference image. Check out the link below.

Hello edson05,

Hi all, I wanted to embark on tracking AzerSpace 2 - 45°E in Nairobi with a 3 footer. The footprint maps shows that a dish as small as 60cm can nab it here without a sweat. Is the state on the ground the same?
