Hello my friends, it's been many days now after covid 19, everything has changed, but we thank God for the gift of life, those who lost their lives may God rest them in heaven.

Greetings members.
I hope everyone is having a good time hunting the birds. Lot of us priorities have changed for most of us older members but the love stays. Occasionally I get time to track one or two birds here and there. Most of my gadgets are obsolete as the is no software upgrade on the boxes.
Feels good to be here in the spirit of satellite tracking.
Happy hunting.

What frequency is Elon broadcasting Internet on?
I thought it's a frequency in Ka band, but a search states this.......
Abstract—We develop a technique for blind signal identification of the Starlink downlink signal in the 10.7 to 12.7 GHz band and present a detailed picture of the signal’s structure. Importantly, the signal characterization offered herein includes the exact values of synchronization sequences embedded in the signal that can be exploited to produce pseudorange measurements. Such an understanding of the signal is essential to emerging efforts that seek to dual-purpose Starlink signals for positioning, navigation, and timing, despite their being designed solely for broadband Internet provision. Index Terms—Starlink, signal identification, positioning, timesynchronization, low Earth orbit...

though ka band is very high. higher than ku band thus it cannot penetrate walls and roofs. I have seen people using Elons plate while inside the house. its has to be a frequency lower than Cband with longer wavelengths to penetrate solid obstacles. most likely the band used for satellite telephony

Sport one still on but now on Amos 3 @3.9W. Foot print on upper side of Africa.
Before it was on Amos 7 @4W it's way down to central of Africa.
