All, On Saturday, my friend and I managed to receive both Arabsat 5C at 20.0°E and Amos 5 at 17.0°E C-band beams using one 180Cm dish and one LNB. However, the Optima Sports channel on Amos 5 (4148 R 2400) did not have Audio, although the video was fine. We were using Skybox F3. Other channels on the satellite such as ACBN, Business TV and Reuters Live had Audio. What could be the problem? We were watching ManCity Vs Norwich soccer game. Do they lock the audio when the game is Live? Any ideas on solving this problem are welcome.
Thanks Kungu1 for the update, will check my E7WA to update the list, speaking of which, sun outage on this bird is currently going on and you best check the calendar before going up on the roof..Yesterday lasted about 5 minutes for me before the signal came back and I was the geek in charge when guys were wondering whats happening, I calmly started explaining about solar outage and in as much as I was not getting to any of them, I thank this forum and others for having my moment of fame...🙂

Producers of local television programmes will now have greater opportunities after the pay TV firm Zuku invested Sh390 million in the upgrade of its satellite broadcast platform.
The upgrade is expected to increase the number of channels for audiences and increase opportunities for local content producers.
The new investment will migrate Zuku TV to an advanced and bigger capacity satellite well known as SES 5 from the current NSS 12. Larger capacity on the new platform will enable the firm increase its product offering by way increasing the number of channels available.
Among the channels that Zuku is introducing is Swahili Movies that will carry productions mostly done in the East African region.
"The new transponder provides us with more capacity, meaning we have space to put up more channels for our subscribers' entertainment," said Richard Bell, the Chief Executive of Wananchi Group, which owns Zuku
The pay TV operator usually contracts local producers to do programmes that airs on some of its channels. It recently commissioned the production of Ladies First – a lifestyle television shows targeted at women, Groove Theory – a music show done by musician Kanji Mbugua, and has also called proposals from producers for an East African TV drama series to be produced in the course of this year and broadcast next year.
Increase local productions
The productions are the firm's bid to increase what it terms are more African themed productions across the channels on its platform.
Bell also said that the investment would give Zuku a wider footprint in Sub-Sahara Africa. It is currently in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.
" Zuku services will be enjoyed in countries within the wider East and Central Africa countries, considering that the SES 5 satellite transponder is in-line with our growth ambitions," he said.
Bell said the upgrade for individual customers is in progress and the company's technical teams are helping subscribers redirect the satellite dish to receive the additional channels. The company will bear the costs for redirecting the dishes.
"The main upgrade at our transmission centre is complete. What is remaining is to redirect our customers satellite dishes," said Bell.

All depend on type of sat receiver in use.
Biss key has 16 digits while CW keys has 32 digits
Constant Control Word keys of channel
change every short time,like minutes..
sometimes these keys take time to change like many hours,one day,two days,and rarely a week!
because of error of its decryption system!
so we take these keys and put in supported receivers
and they decrypt the scrambled channels!
CCW keys open any channel decrypted by ird*to,vicc*ss,etc..
It contains 32 letters and numbers!
BISS full name is "Basic Interoperable Scrambling System"
Biss Control Words are static and are only changed by the Broadcasters when they need to. With this encryption there is no decoding process as such just the final Biss Control Word.Its key include 16 Letters and Numbers.The key is entered into both the encoder and decoder , this key then forms part of the encryption of the digital TV signal and only receivers with the correct key will decrypt the signal. Security level of this method low compare other locking method.

In Nairobi, Kenya a 1.2 meter offset dish or 1.8 meter prime focus will lock on the bird.

Did A-Plus channel on the same frequency have audio?
I recently noticed the is a dollar ($) sign on both channels.
Optional channel, NBC on Intelsat 10-02 Frequency 3977 L DVB-S SR 17777.
NBC channel hosts Optima EPL live games plus Etv programs like Scandal, rhytm city plus Kenyan local soaps
