Brother Kungu Managed to lock on frequency 11981V 27500 on the East beam of Yahsat with a 165cm offset and a samson lnb hosting the GEM TV package!
I noted the building nxt to me had been the problem for me all tht time...I had to drag the dish away from it to get the full illumination of the sattellite...

Good Morning,
Paksat 1R is on the same location as Eutelsat 36 (DSTV sat postion)
Point your dish upwards facing to the northern direction.
The snap shot below shows Intelsat 10-02 facing west, the same direction as Amos 5 @ 17 degrees.
As paksat 1R sat is above us, you can get the bird by either facing your dish to the north or south.

Morn too...had a struggle for months before I took a chance of dragging the dish to nab the East beam! Am using a Samson twin Lnb
Next shot I will try Turksat 42E with its footprint which is not better than Yahsat East beam and still want to uprade to a bigger
offset dish for Badr!

If u reside around the leafy suburbs of Nairobi like Lavignton,Kileleshwa,Runda,Westlands,Kabete e.t.c. You might try the Orange 42Mbs modem if not use the 21Mbs one that am currently using!it gives me speed of upto 13Mbs on a good day and 3Mbs on avarage!

Infact I had a project tht stalled a while ago to fabricate the 165cm with fibreglass but the rains are on and hit a snag....will update you soon....about the dubai guys I sent a guy at luthuli and he did the import for me...

i have tried all that but the problem is am not getting this bird for my dstv i get it from north direction with a 65cm ofset i tried the whole day i coulnt nab it with a 1.8m prime focus i only managed 20e am almost giving up i want to try 5w and 10e are they receivable using 1.8m and supermax lnb?

Don‘t give up yet.
i had the same problem wen huntin for the same. i was told to face the dish east but didn‘t work. one day someone gave me the link below and it help alot. u can‘t believe where dish face, south west. so my advice is use the link and try.
remove the teflon(plastic ) from your lnb.
use this link http://www.satlex.de/en/azel_calc.html to calculate azimuth and elevation angle and direction of your dish.
all u need is just to enter parameters.

somoz, i called the man 3x, sent 3 msgs to him. Can u imagine he asked me the amount of money i want to spend instead of telling me the selling price of his gadgets. Iam not sure if he owns a shop that sells recevers bse he got difficulties in pronouncing their models. He might be a no-shop seller taking advantage of the market opportunies. Besides he does not have srt 4922.skybox f3 goes for 15000ksh which too much expensive.
