Air Transport Contributes US$3.2bn per year to Kenya's GDP!

GDP per capita is not any were the amount your paying doctors or MP. If that was case, no one would be marching demanding other wise. (M-pigs)

Yeah, being the darling of the west really help right? remembered Kenya settlers?

You know who else was built by Whites? South Africa. You don't hear everyone else complain that they got a head start.
At independence, Kenya's GDP was $926 million. That's when most whites left.
In 1993, Kenya GDP was $5.7b, Tanzania was $4.2b. Very small gap.
I don't know which settlers came into Kenya again to cause the $20b gap that now exists.

Everyone has a right to demonstrate.
But some people noted that they were demonstrating for the wrong reasons.
They should have been advocating for the raising of everyone else's salaries.

There is no black Kenya who build Kenya without the open market the west. In fact the hand was extended to their own people who have settled in Kenya. That was OK until "choices has conscious" came to office, he chose East. Don't be under any illusion that the west is happy.

Corrugated iron sheet houses in Nairobi and other parts of Kenya don't support your claim.

What! my oh my, you are insanely opaque.

Are Uganda and Tz the west, coz they're the biggest export markets of Kenyan manufactured goods. In fact, the west is underdeveloping Kenya and other nations by buying raw materials.

You consistently point to very irrelevant points that don't support your claim. 80% of Dar would pass out for a slum yet you are here pointing fingers. Since SA has larger slums than UG, does that make the latter more developed

The guy comes from a country where protests are almost outlawed, opposition stifled and here he is pointing Kenya

I would love to know which raw material the west buy's from Kenya without value additional. Cut flower, AGOA clothing? I'm waiting for this answer.

And yet, we hear more about Kenyan slums than we hear about Dar or SA slums, i wonder why. There people who wrote their PhD about Kenyans slums.

Did we all forgot that Kenya still has IDP's? Are those people become IDP by choice? NO, some big greedy politician made them IDP. And yet no politician wants to take responsibility for the crime. Before you question Tanzanian politics, look yourself in the mirror.

If your media can't even market your country well to the extent that foreigners think Kilimanjaro is in Kenya, how do you expect it to air the grievances of the common mwananchi in Dar?

Soweto is far more known than any other slum in Africa, if you haven't heard about it then you clearly live under a rock

Do you know the price of a kg of fresh cut tea leaves compared to a kg of the processed output?

I've just noticed that your knowledge of matters concerning economics and tied trade aren't your bowl of soup.

Just out of curiosity, assuming you aren't some highschool kid, what's your area of profession

And yet many Tanzanians (apparently you inclusive) have been in Kenya pursuing a better life.

Corruption is a serious issue in Kenya, that's the area that I admit you lead us. Both the current leaders and opposition aren't dedicated to end it really, so sad. But all factors considered, there is more freedom of expression in Kenya, it's why most of the idps were resettled and compensated after advocating for their rights.

Air your grieves for what, aid? Isn't Kenya rich enough to deal with her own problems. And your here telling us Kenya is ahead, ahead for what inequality?

For the person who boasting to know more about economics will know the different between commodity and raw material.

BTW, when you say your exporting fresh cut tea, do you even understand how tea is processed? Are those leave been export the very day they're pulled from the tree? Aren't they been dried under the sun? Aren't they been sorted? Aren't they been chopped into mall granulate? What are those tea processing plant in Kenya doing.

re-read and understand that post.

Wow, you Kenyans are so deluded. Isn't it Kenya's who are complaining about work permit in Tanzania to be too expensive? We said this countless of times, if there Tanzania's in Kenya and they are there illegally, send them back.
