Yes, Isiolo is arid in northern Kenya yet it's comparable to one of your most important towns. Usifananishe Huo uchafu na Kisumu. Hata Thika, Nyeri, Kakamega, Kisii et al hazifananishwi na Huo uchafu. Labda Isiolo ama Lodwar.

And then the poverty rates za hizo mkoa it's just depressing kwanza Mwanza
 
Kakamega hii, the 15th largest in Kenya but is way better than most towns in Tanzania in terms of planning, beauty, infrastructure and standards of living.
