Bishop, Rev Stephen Ng'anga who hosted the Deputy President William Ruto in Kenol Muranga county in October has died. According to the church leadership the Bishop died from Pneumonia.
The conditioned was triggered and worsened after the bishop inhaled tear gas fumes when the police were displacing them from the venue where they were supposed to meet the Deputy President.
Bishop Ng'ang'a is of African Independent Pentecostal Churches of Africa (AIPCA) and has was buried yesterday on November 13 at his Gacharage village in Kigumo sub-county and died at the age of 62. Kenol's AICPA Secretary-General confirmed while talking to K24 Digital on Saturday.
The DP function in Muranga was marred with chaos after a hired group of youths started protested ahead of the DP's arrival which led to locals retaliating and led to two deaths.
The death of the 2 people lead to the cabinet approving the public gathering restrictions that had been suggested by the National security council advisory board which required politicians and any other event organizers to seek police approval before holding any function that will involve public gathering.
