KQ, like other major airlines (not village flying buses like ATCL), leases a huge part of its fleet. It directly owns 20 and leases another 20.
That way it concentrates on being an airline, not a mechanic garage.
American Airlines alone has leased over 400 planes.
Remember, ATCL is ran by a dictator, and therefore leasing companies cannot dare lease to you. Therefore you are forced to spend education, infrastructure, health and agriculture money to buy expensive planes, as your people go hungry.
