There is a fallacy that the Qur'an commands Muslims to not befriend Jews and Christians based on Chapter 5 verse 52.
If we look at the context of the verse, we see that it refers to the lifetime of the Prophet Muhammad when Jews and Christians were at war with Muslims. If you consider enemies at war with each other, it makes perfect sense to discourage friendships between them because of that situation. Even so, the subsequent verses 58 and 59 clarify the reasons for discouraging friendships with Jews and Christians of that time, who used to make fun of Muslims for adhering to their faith. (Qur'an 5:57) O ye who believe! take not those for friends who make a jest and sport of your religion from among those who were given the Book before you, and the disbelievers. And fear Allah if you are believers
Interestingly, many topics in the Qur'an are continued in other places for the purpose of clarification. Consider Chapter 60 verses 8-10, with the suggestion that God may bring about love between the Muslims and their enemies. [Qur’an 60:8] It may be that Allah will bring about love between you and those of them with whom you are now at enmity; and Allah is All Powerful, and Allah is Most Forgiving, Merciful.
These verses enjoin Muslims to be kind and generous towards others regardless of their religion, and that war is only permissible against hostile tribes who persecute Muslims on account of religious differences.
In any case, remember that rather than creating differences, Islam teaches respect and acceptance of all prophets including Jesus and Moses, thus uniting us under one God.
I hope it is clear now that the verse in question does not apply to the Jews and Christians of today.

I refute like this Jew and Christians never wage war against Mohammad Muslims Army.. Mohammad start all war to get Captive and to have sex with Woman from Captive na Aya zake za Iblis Allah kumuambia ana haki kuwalala... lete Hadithi au Aya ya Quran inayosema Kulikuwa na Vita ya Waislam na Christians/Jews. Even ili uwe muislam lazima upigane Jihad so unaanzwa au unaanzisha?

dogo, Jews were not considered as an enemy at an earlier stage when Muslims and Jews lived in Medinah, but the clash all started when the Jews allied with Quraish. Many mistakenly believe that Prophet Muhammad was an enemy of the Jews. Much of the confusion stems from the Battle of the Trench (Al Khandaq) which Muslim tradition records was a two week battle that raged between Arab and Jewish tribes against the Muslims of Madina. When the Prophet Muhammad surrounded them for 25 days, he promised whoever did not contribute and came out peacefully would be released.
Whoever kills a soul unless for a soul or for corruption (done) in the land it is as if he had slain mankind entirely." (Qur'an 5:32)
The Jewish tribes were defeated, between 600-900 Jewish men were sentenced to death, but Prophet Muhammad did not mssacre the Jews at Khaybar’, and ‘the Jews gave half their agricultural harvest to Prophet Muhammad, and they were let go.
The first Islamic Waqf was donated by a Jew. He was Rabbi Mukhayriq, the Jewish friend of Prophet Muhammad. He did not convert to Islam and remained a Jew. He was tragically killed during the battle of Uhud while fighting alongside his friend and ally, Prophet Muhammad, who said after hearing the news of his death: "Mukhayriq is the best of the Jews".
The story did not end there as Rabbi Mukhayriq’s death wish was to donate his wealth to the Prophet as an inheritance. This included seven gardens and other forms of wealth.
This wealth was used to establish the first waqf a charitable trust in Islam. It was from this endowment that the Prophet helped many poor people in Medina.
