Bankrupt Kenya has no money for BRT

Bankrupt Kenya has no money for BRT

Pesa iko kenya tena mingi but shida in City structure iko already sorted out. Introducing BRT would mean construction & demolition of roads alafu hawako sure kama itasaidia kupunguza Jam.
Hahahahahaha, vipi huko Nairobi, mvua zinanyesha au zimekata?, huku Dar ni mafuriko kwa sana.

We mang'aa Unajua Nairobi kweli ama nikuropokwa tu. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] Nairobi pekee iko na personal cars mingi kuliko Tz na Uganda zikishikanishwa. Nairobi's traffic Jam is worse than that of New York my friend. Hata tukitoa public vehicles bado Jam itakuwa. You need to travel & see for yourself.

The main reason why BRT can never work in Kenya is this

The much-hyped Nairobi Bus Rapid Transit System (BRT) project appears to have gone cold with no budgetary allocation to develop accompanying infrastructure.

The deafening silence is evident in all State departments from roads, transport, Office of the President and Nairobi County government that had set up an inter-agency to oversee the actualisation of the BRT dream.

Proponents will have to face-off with the Nairobi County government that has openly opposed introduction of high capacity buses to secure revenues collected from hundreds of small capacity buses that operate within the city.
Cash hitch dims hope for rapid bus transport system
Hahahaha, wakenya wanachekesha kweli

Teh teh teh tihiii
traffic jam is a result of poor planning and not the multitude of cars.

Watu wanajenga 10 lanes kuingia mjini, eti kuondoa foreni[emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23],badala yake magari yanarundikana kwenye milango ya mji, maana super highway hazipo street.

Walivyo viazi, badala ya kupinguza idadi ya magari kwenda mjini, wamefarakana.

Huwa unavuta bangi gani??? 😂😂😂

Ukisikia ujinga ndio huu, the whole idea of BRT is to reduce number of small family cars from public roads. Wewe unatetea kuweka magari yanayochafua mazingira.

Mbona miji iliyojengwa zaidi ya 200 yrs ago kama London Paris wameweza kuweka bus and cycle lanes on same roads? Nasema kila siku humu, tembeeni dunia muone.
Huyu jamaa hajawahi ongea point. Bangi anayovuta inamzidi uwezo wake.. Huwa ni pointless mwanzo mwisho. Kama ni mkikuyu basi niwale waliokosa matunzo.

tangu lini kenya ikafilisika?ama wale ombaomba kutoka nchi jirani walipewa hela zote?wakenya ni wakarimu sana.hujinyima ili kusaidia wengine.
Huh ndio uungwana

So if I may ask, where can we put BRTs in Nairobi with that type of Congestion! The point is, Kenya has no time and space to demolish and constuct things just because other countries have. Addis has lrt,Tz has Brt, Nairobi has super highways and bypasses. It is not necessary to have all those in one city. Especially Nairobi.

No. Traffic jam is as a result of city growth. Not poor planning. Even after building bypasses, highways, overpasses undepasses bado Jam iko. The only option remaining is to centralise other cities in kenya like Mombasa so that the burden is released. Nairobi is not just Kenya's capital, but East Africa's.

Your not doing anyone a favor by building a modern transport system which is environmentally friendly and quicker. 50% of journey done in Nairobi today are unnecessary and they could be replaced by fewer buses or trams or trains. The same roads your using today, are enough to serve this purpose.

BUT THIS IS KENYA, as Childish Gambino would've said. Every where you look there personal interests invested.

Uhuni huu.

Eti not sure if having a BRT instead of small vans and mini lorries (matatu) will reduce jam?

Kweli bongo lako limekauka.

These are just excuses from a money and mentally bankrupt people
U are emotional rather than objective there are mass buses and expansive roads but still there is traffic jam, I don't think a BRT will push the middle class to leave their cars at home, according to me the solution is a light rail system each problem with its own solution not copy pasting
