Uganda Road (A104) that passes through Eldoret CBD is a trunk road (To Uganda and South Sudan). Eldoret is not known for a robust road network compared to other towns and cities in Kenya. The bypass construction was a masterclass because it not only decongests the city roads but also diverts trucks and other heavy-duty vehicles, thereby reducing travel time to neighbouring countries.
