A kilometer or two from where that photo was taken, construction is underway on the new 4,000-bed Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) Multi-Speciality Hospital in Kiplombe, Uasin Gishu County. It will be the second-largest and most modern hospital in sub-Saharan Africa.
