Alafu wewe ndio huelewi system ya USa kabisa. Electoral votes were determined by population first and foremost and geographic representation. That's why in out of almost 90 elections that have been held in the US, there have only been 5 anomalies (including Trump's), where the popular candidate loses the electoral college.
It was never intended to be this way and that's why it is very rare.

Even if here in Kenya we decided to go the electoral college way when we were making the constitution, population of certain areas would still have been the guiding principal of allocating electoral votes.
Eg. if a county of 1 million people got 5 electoral votes, a county of 2 million people would have gotten 10.

The election results would still have been the same. Raila would still lose every time, because central and rift valley would have received proportionately more electoral votes by virtue of having a higher population.
