Kambas are serious wood carvers. have been exporting curios forever, period.
So you who think you are creative what have you benefited from this so called creativity? apart from complain here in.
Lawsuit or no lawsuit the fact that some Kenyan could actually upstage you for what you deem is your right and privilege got at your goat and now you are thrashing about looking for some one to take out your anger on...for that matter i let it roll on my back...infact everytime i write something I know you will respond with your vitriol, while your bile is rising.

If someone is bright enough to steal your idea from you, you shouldnt cry in forums, go file a case and meet the people in court and defend what is ''rightfully yours'', shouting from roof tops isnt going to change the fact that the tingatinga animations are said to be Kenyan, just like Kilimanjaro, and Tanzanite. it si just a matter of time before thieves kenyans will run out of new hunting grounds, these people are so immoral! i don blame them capitalism turns people to animals, they started capitalism long ago, because capitalism preach taking what is not rightful yours but my fellow tanzanians capitalism is not self sustaining vivid example are the crumbling economies of the so called imperialist powers e.g us, japan, german etc even kenyans have reached that point thats y they are dying to join federation, and for you kenyans just know there is no land grabbing in tz if your thinking of that!
makonde carving is the cream of tanzanian art, few smart people know, and its just a matter of time before the rest of the world will know!

..from the guardian article that was quoted here, it seems to the person who stole the name Tinga Tinga is Claudia Llyoid. that name doesnt sound Kenyan to me.

..but it is also acknowledged that the origin of the name Tinga Tinga is Tanzania. I hope there will be some kind of compensation for the use of that name.

..in my opinion I dont think we have to blame Kenyans in this case. we have to blame ourselves for not being competitive enough to bring this kind of project/investment to our country.

NB:
..I expect our High Commisioner in the UK, Mama Mwanaidi Maajar, who is a Lawyer by Profession, to look into this matter, and make sure that Tinga Tinga intellectual property rights are not breached.
