You're damn right! Millions of years just doesn't make sense to me. And note the language there...'millions of years'.
I mean, it doesn't get any more obscure and confusing than that. What's millions of years? 500 million years? A thousand million years? To me it's like due to lack of information a humongous number is being thrown around to try to explain something we know very little of.
Of course I'm doubting the dating methods.
Who was there when everything was taking place?
You tell me! How did they get that 3 billion number?
What do you mean 'what do I say' about fossils...? Do you accept everything hook, line, and sinker?
So mwisho wa siku unakataa vitu kwasababu tu HUJUI!!! au ni cognitive dissonance? au its just as far as your brain can comprehend??
Unanikumbusha tulivyosoma Isotopes na half lives za elements Form 3. I was a hardcore Christian back then and it was evident to me tulivyoambiwa tu definition ya half life kuwa "no elememt should have a half life of more than 3000yrs b'se the earth was created 6000yrs ago". nilishangaa kukukuta isotope yenye half life ya 7000+yrs. Its impossible!! I just didnt want to accept that.
Nimerudi tu nyumbani the first thing was google "Does Thorium-229 really have a half life of 7340yrs?" heeeh!!! nikakutana na Uranium-238, ina half life 4,470,000,000yrs!!!!!
housegirl the devil is making you see things. close that and go concentrate on the 3rd coming of Christ!! (hear that? the third coming!!!)
But I knew how to calculate half lives. I knew about the margin of errors.
baada ya kusoma waves, I guese so many zeros wont surprise you. infact the one with the less zeros was wrong. lol
few weeks ago nilikuwa nabishana na mtu. Anakataa kuwa vyote ambavyo astronomers wanaona kwenye stars zingine, actually happened millions of years ago!!! mtu hajui light years ni nini halafu ananibishia!!
the nearest star to us, apart from the sun is 38,000,000,000,000km away!!! light travels 300,000km per second. what makes you think the light tuliyoiona from that star ni imetoka sasa hivi? au mwaka huu?? haelewi!!!!
I guese its just of matter of reading and getting used to the reality. If you cant comprehend it, basi its just isnt for you!!!
Nyani Ngabu jinsi unaongelea evolution shows your ignorance on every aspect of it. From the physics to the chemistry to the biology to the Geography to The MATH to the history. You even keep on repeating the same argument after showing you that its not that way!
How about you get a good book? Au nikupe link nzuri!!

(EDITED: flawed. an isotope CAN have a half life greater than the element's birthdate)
