But Kenyans are the ones talking about the issue of Obama not visiting KE, the Kenyan media..people in Tz are used to those world leaders, Clinton and Bush came..and recently Obama. Three months ago the President of China came to Tz. Dont forget when Obama was in Dar, he met with G.W. Bush who also visited Tanzania the same wk.

we are not interested as well in showing comparative economic muscle, what we are interested is that equality among nations is respected. We can as Africans cheat ourselves by bowing down or suffering imperial re-impositioning by the west for selfish purposes, but time will tell if TZ will not be the next in line to be thrown away with the bath water...

China is the only credible partner around....AMerica always has all the rights to throw the baby with the bath water, and we can choose as africans to be stooges and bow down to imperialism or be practical!...the call is at your head..

..meanwhile, FYI, if you are not privy or have access to current media material,,,Kenya as country has made great strides in-terms of economic transformation, and democratic reforms notwithstanding political uncertainty which will also necessary for an evolving powerhouse like TZ, which in kenya is currently being addressed through (judicial reforms) constitutional reforms and amendments..

...with the democratic space widened, the environment is very welcoming for Social reforms to take place, which will gradually also come through constitutional reforms and amendments, so do not be mislead by what populist editors write and mock about kenya on their media..we are on the path to complete development...

..call it as you may, you recall Nigeria.. is also a powerhouse...you may be a giant powerhouse economically but still, lack the capacity, to stem corruption reduce poverty ..etc. or rather as a country, are you may be aping Nigerian model unwittingly?

I would love to see Tanzania flying past Kenya🙂 but you have a big mountain to climb.

First,,,get a new constitution and make it work.

Secondly,,,,,Tanzania has known only CCM since independence and
till now,,the president is always picked behind the scene and imposed
on Tanzanian,,,,get out of this and do real elections where people
elect what they want.

In Kenya,,,we had KANU,,,then NARC,,,then,,ODM and PNU and
now JUBILEE.

We are far ahead of,,even the pharaohs in Egypt who elects a
leader and then get rid of him the next year and worse,,put
him in a detention.

We have had no political detainees,,,,for the past 20 years.

But Obamas of this world cannot see this,,which is their shauri
and we don't give a damn what they think of us or not.

So Obama came to Africa and went back home.
