The main reason for cancer is mutation such that cells losses their ability to control multiplication as well as genetically make up.
I think this mutation is as the results of body trying to evolve to adapt to environmental changes and exposure such as as the results of radiation damage the genome of the cells causing mutation leading to cancer.
CONCERN
Instead of trying to kill mutated body cells of which results to killing of our own cells (chemotherapy and other forms of cancer treatment) is it not possible to try promote the undergone mutation in a way that we regain the control of replication and genotype.
