HEAD OF PROCUREMENT MANAGEMENT UNIT (One Post)
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage all procurement and disposal by tender activities of the corporation except adjudication and the award of contract
Support the functions of the tender board
Implement the decisions of the Tender Board
Liaise directly with the Authority on matters within its jurisdiction
Act as a Secretary to the Tender Board
Plan the procurement and disposal by tender activities of the corporation
Recommend procurement and disposal by tender procedures
Check and prepare statements of requirements
Prepare tender documents
Prepare advertisements of tender opportunities
Prepare contract documents
Issue approved contract documents
Maintain and archive records of the procurement and disposal process
Maintain a list or register of all contracts
Prepare monthly report for the tender board
Co-ordinate the procurement and disposal activities of all the departments of the organization.
Prepare other reports as may be required from time to time
Performs any other related duties as may be assigned by superior from time to time.
DESIRED PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION
Holder of a degree / Advanced Diploma in Materials Management and full professional materials management qualifications ( CSP) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution followed by at least 6 years working experience 3 of which must be at Senior level.
DESIRED COMPETENCES
Should have experience in Public Procurement and should be conversant with procurement procedures under various donor agencies including World Bank, ADB and the Tanzania Public Procurement Act No.21/2004
Computer skills are essential.
Fluency in written and spoken English and Swahili.
Age limit: - Not more than 40 years.

GEOLOGIST II (Two Posts)
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists to prepare well summary sheets.
Attends geological field works to visit different geological outcrops.
Understudies the geologists and geophysicists in geological and geophysical data interpretation.
Attends geophysical data acquisition parties.
Assists with well site geology.
Undertakes any other related duties as assigned by superiors.
DESIRED PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION
Holder of B.Sc. degree in geology from a university or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution with 1st or upper 2nd class.
Masters degree and working experience will be an added advantage.
DESIRED COMPETENCES
Ability to use computers
A Petroleum Geology option at B.Sc. level
Fluency in written and spoken English and Swahili.

GEOPHYSICIST II (Two Posts)
The exploration geophysicist uses his/her knowledge in earth physics and digital technology to explore and develop petroleum and mineral resources.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Attends to and assists in the geophysical data acquisition.
Attends to and assists in geophysical data interpretation.
Assists carrying out recording of property and crop destroyed during data acquisition.
Assists geophysical contractors permit person during data acquisition.
Performs any other related duties as may be assigned by the superiors.
DESIRED PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION
The candidate must be a holder of B.Sc. degree in Physics & Mathematics or Geophysics (with 1st or upper 2nd class level) from a recognised university or an institution of High Learning.
Masters degree in the geophysics and a working experience in related field will be an added advantage.

PETROLEUM ENGINEER II (One Post)
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Deals with matters pertaining to drilling, well completion, testing.
Collection of reservoir data from well test results, drilling results and production data.
Installation and operation of surface production equipment.
Perform any other related duties as may be assigned from time to time.
DESIRED PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION
Holder of a B.Sc. degree in engineering (Petroleum/Mechanical/Chemical & Processing Eng.) from a University or equivalent qualifications from a recognized Institutions, with 1st or Upper 2nd class degree.
Masters degree and working experience will be an added advantage.
DESIRED COMPETENCES
Computer skills is essential
Oil and gas well drilling, completion, testing and production operations.
Production monitoring, well maintenance, completion, design, production logging, test design and analysis, coiled tubing and work-over operations, electric and slick line operations.

CIVIL ENGINEER II (One Post)
Engineer II shall participate in designing structures and shall always be at work sites so as to supervise and follow up the progress of actual works.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists in the review and presentation and recommendations for layout of plans of engineering works.
Prepares / scrutinizes preliminary engineering drawings thereafter detail drawings.
Ensures engineering works comply with specification and safety standards.
Issue certificates for completed works.
Follow up all assigned project to the Assistant Engineer.
Follow up permits and approvals for all engineering works.
Performs any other related duties as assigned by superiors from time to time.

MICROPALAENTOLOGIST II (One Post)
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists in sample collection, labelling storage, and analysis for stratigraphic dating using microfossils.
Participates in geological field work.
Sits on well sites for sample collection and analysis for stratigraphic dating
Participates in regional studies
Performs any other duties as may be assigned by the superior.
DESIRED PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION
Holder of B.Sc. degree in Geology, Biology or related sciences from a University or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Masters degree in the Micropaleontology and a working experience in related field will be an added advantage.
Knowledge of microfossils; Micropaleontology, palynology or mannofossils.
A combination of Geology and Biology related subjects.

SENIOR SYSTEM ANALYST II (One Post)
System Analyst: Individuals who support the operations and integrity of computer systems and networks and their use. These activities might include system installation, configuration, integration, maintenance, security management, and problem analysis and recovery.
He / She holds a unique and powerful position in their relatively free access to and maintenance of systems and data. He / She must understand and follow information system policy and observe the highest ethical and specialized standards at all times.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintaining local servers including e-mail, printers, back up, restoration and recovery, as well as local operating systems and software;
Maintaining the security, maintenance and support of the local network; and WAN if available).
Installing new equipment and operating software, including upgrades;
Developing local network solutions, connectivity, and associated cabling requirements;
Monitoring and testing server / network performance and providing network performance statistics and reports;
Receiving and responding to Help Desk calls concerning hardware, software and communication systems;
Ensuring procedures manuals, and help sheets are in place for network installations, including data, voice, and video systems;
Conduct in house training to staff for commonly used software packages for optimum package uses;
To keep good record of software available at the corporation and their renewal schedules for timely renewal, updates;
Prepare in a timely manner periodic and annual requirements for hardware, software and consumables;
To ensure compliance of systems with organization and security policies, standards regulatory and contractual obligations ;
Perform any other duties as may be assigned by superior.
DESIRED PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION
Holder of a University degree in Information Technology from a recognised University or equivalent qualification from a recognized
institution with 1st or 2nd upper class. Should have at least four years relates hands on experience in IT administration/System analyst in recognised institution.
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2003 server, network protocols and PC desktop including Windows XP, firewalls, and MS suit applications
DESIRED COMPETENCES
Knowledge of common computer packages.
System Installation, maintenance and backup skills
Computer networking skills
Knowledge in data base management

INTERNAL AUDITOR II (Two Posts)
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Pre audit of payments
Conducts preliminary examinations of joint venture activities in relation to petroleum exploration and production.
Carries out field work of special assignments and investigations
Examines and reviews audit trails of postings.
Conducts surprise checks of cash and stores.
Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time
DESIRED PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION
Holder of Advanced Diploma in Accountancy or bachelors degree in Accountancy or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution. Should be registered with NBAA as approved / provisional Auditor.
DESIRED COMPETENCES
Knowledge of International Accounting and Auditing standards preferably in the Petroleum Exploration & production sector.
Financial / Accounting Computer skills
Fluency in written and spoken English and Swahili

9.
REGISTRY OFFICER (One Post)
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists the Administrative Officer in designing systems and procedures pertaining to mail and file handling.
Maintains all records of file and file movements.
Opens new files and closes old ones in accordance with established systems and procedures.
Ensures smooth movement of files between the registries and operating officers.
Ensures that all urgent correspondences are dealt with immediately or on the indicated dates.
Ensures that all outgoing correspondences are correctly addressed, referenced, signed and delivered in time.
Ensures that all incoming official mail is correctly opened, sorted out, filed, cross-referenced and directed / marked to the right operating member of staff.
Ensures safe custody of file and other documents and that the registry is only accessible to authorized persons.
Performs any other related duties as may be assigned by superior from time to time.
DESIRED PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION
Diploma in Record Management (2 yrs course) from Tanzania
Public Service College or equivalent qualifications from the
accredited Institution.
Basic education is Secondary education - Form IV or Form VI. Form IV leavers must take certificate course in Record Management before doing Diploma course.
Experience of less than three years in record management/ registry (prior or after).

Computer skill in data management is essential.
Fluency in written and spoken English and Swahili.
