Chumvi ya Neel (Neel salt) ni biashara ya nani?

Definitely that will encourage industrialization.
However, am still shocked by that marketing budget.
Actually that is what made me to write this thread. It looks too huge budget to market just table salt. what is so special with this table salt? an ordinary local investor could not do this. I think the purpose is to eliminate all other existing species of table salts from the market, then monopolize the market. Under monopoly market prices become uncontrollable.

Wewe uko mbali sana na ukweli, duniani kote hata nchi zilizoendelea hawanunui bidhaa bila kufahamu umiliki wake, nani kutengeneza, viwango, expiry date, kodi nk. Wewe unafakamia tu. Ndio maana bidhaa zetu zinashindwa kupenya kwenye masoko ya nje.
Kwa hiyo kabla ya Neel ulikuwa unafakamia tu?

It is not easy bro, just look how big the market it is. Then think about investment on distribution.
You can focus and sell unbranded salt to rural areas (villages) and enjoys the market.

Kama tangazo hili litaendelea tena na tena na tena litasababisha watu wabadili fikra, mtazamo, na tabia zao dhidi ya chumvi nyingine zisizojitangaza soloing.

Hii ndiyo sababu Coca-Cola na pepsi tbl, tigo, voda, nk wanatumia bajeti kubwa sana kwenye matangazo ingawa wanafahamika na wana wateja wengi. Hivyo hata neel salt ikitangazwa intensively kwa muda mrefu hizo chumvi nyingine zisizo tangazwa polepole zitapotea sokoni.

Kwa mfano Unilever (omo) wana gari 50 canter za distribution kwa Dar mjini pekee. Sasa hao wa chumvi hawana hata gari 5 !
All unreached customers wataendelea na kuuza chumvi ingine.
Kuuza ni vingine na kusambaza ni kazi ingine.
 
Ni matumizi.mabaya kutumia budget kubwa kutangaza chumvi.
Na nature ya chumvi si fmcg (inelastic demand)
 
Wazee huyu jamaa inaonekana kuwa amejipanga sana kibiashara kutokana na wingi na aina ya matangazo yake.

Nani amjua mwenye biashara hii kubwa na muhimu ya NEEL salt?
Raisi angekuwa JK au muislamu yeyote,ungesikia chumvi hiyo inamilikiwa na mmoja wa wanafamilia wake

Kitengo chake cha masoko hakijui hata concept ya economics that's y anatanga na kubandika mabango kila mahali utazani anauzo soda. Siku akifankiwa kuwa na kiwanda cha soft drink ataweka matangazo hadi kwene nyumba za watu.

If you win Customers' minds, then you have it all. But in our Local Market especially the Fast Moving consumables Goods Industry what matters is "PRICE", "AVAILABILITY" "VISIBILITY" and Lastly is AWARENESS.
 
Why is salt inelastic i.e. price change does not effect demand?
Definitely, at any given time have you stocked 5kg or 10kg of salt at your house ?
How about sugar ?........why ?
