Well about Moi, when we talk/discuss about leadership it does not only have to stand on a single trait as a definition mode of the leader in question Several traits and attributes? YES! Be it they are negative via an Autocratic Leader OR be it Positive via a Democratic Leader. For Moi IMHO it was kind of easy . That groundwork of being a good leader in doctrines of Peace where indirectly handed to him by Kenyatta (Take note Kenyata was considered as one of the forces the Countrys independence; thus an inevitable respect from the majority regardless the origin of the ethnic group of one and it is in my belief Moi was Kenyattas fav).
Placing weight on your last Paragraph . I agree with you (thou feeling really painful in the process of agreement! Lol) That Kenya is going places in terms of the right path to a reliable and stable democracy compared to Tanzania . In what ever way it will turn out; I acquaint with you one thing I bet it is going to be better set to use (the new found resources) for wananchi wa Kenya hawachekei ujinga. Well walaji hawatakosa BUT what matters is that the work will be done. And that is justified by the portrayal of efforts of most of the Leaders in the Kenyan Government. The issue Kenya has to stop overlooking is that they are in strong tied groups of ethnicity .. A catastrophic entity to harmony and development of a nation.
kwani tatizo liko wapi? Tanzania si tunayo coal nyingi sana ya kutupa ambayo tunaweza kuchimba kwa miaka zaidi ya hamsini? kampuni ya Australia kule Mbinga si imeshaanza kuchimba na wanategemea kuingiza umeme Tanesco more than 150megawatts? wilaya ya mbinga yote imejaa coal, wilaya ya Ludewa yote imejaa coal na chuma/iron all over our country is minerals minerals...so majirani zetu wakipata si tufurahie, pamoja na kwamba hawatakuja wapate zaidi ya kile tulichonacho sisi watz....tatizo wakenya walikuwa hawana madini kabisa,....sasa wamepata wanaongeaaaaa, MASIKINI ASIPOKUWA NA KITU HUNYAMAZA, AKIPATA MATTAKO HULIA PWAAA, MBUUUUUUUUU.
I like your views on kenya, they are well thought and brought to light. What keeps kenya moving politically is ethnicity (not favourable we need to change). On kenyatta, His was doctrines was not inclined on peace since the country was enjoying independence from imperialism and his style of leadership was in the nature of a "Strongman". After Kenyatta's death, Moi was the VP then and found out that he was embroiled in a leadership that was of GEMA stronghold. So I guess this is where his "doctrine" was born. "Fuata nyayo" I guess was a way to appease the Njonjos and the Karumes.
IMHO, countries in EA have plenty to learn from each other politically, economically you name it. It is only some within debates and discussion groups that drag themselves into something simmilar to sibling rivalry. And the other thing is that our political movements are dominated by this two big tribes. So it might take a while before others dominate the political scene
When I read tu! "I like your views on Kenya.... " I was like is he Kenyan.... Reading on I got my answer directly.... Of coz you like my views they are in your favour...lol. But you deserve it for it is the fact. For a Leader ambae alichukua Uongozi kupitia kama kurithishwa bila kutarajia; Moi did try katika Uongozi wake as much as alikua/ana mikashifa yale ya Ufisadi akiwa linked na akina George Saittoti, India Kald et al.
Nimependa sana the second paragraph.... Yaani hivi kweli JK amewahi hata siku moja kua curious na kutaka kufunga safari ya Kirafiki kwa lets say Kagame na kumuuliza how he does it? Or hata viongozi wote wakaamua kua na a friendly meeting and talk about governance na changes in various developmental Institutions; Ni ngumu kujua kwa kweli.... On the issue ya hizo kabila zinazotawala Kenya, yaani alafu the way Wakenya mlivo na madharau dhidi ya your fellow countrymen just because yupo katika an insignificant tribe.... It so inhuman.
Mambo mengine ya kujadili the way foward for africa zinaweza wasilishwa katika mikutano za EA ambazo hatuoni zikifanyika.
Lazima ukabaliane nami walio wanyonge kawaida huita mambo megine maonevu
Thanks for the acknowledgement Mzalendo... However katika uliogusia hapa mimi I am more interested and in favour of a Leader ambae anaangalia inchi na watu wake kwanza. I believe and Perceive that the way forward for Africa as a Continent and a whole is each Leader from respective Nations to put Maximum effort, dedication and Will Power in the betterment of the Nation and the People.... Kwamba kila Leader anahakikisha all is in harmony, sababu hakuna anaejua wanachi wake kama raisi mwenyewe wa nchi sio neighboring Leaders.... That Mugabe awe able to look up to the problems of the nation and sort them out at his best na to the interests of the majority, that Kabila aweze ku maintain his wealth anayopoteza mno hadi kupelekea scandals za blood diamonds iweze leta maendeleo na kuwafikia wanachi, that Al-bashiri aweze kaa na watu wa South Sudan waweke mambo sawa kwa kuzingatia kua ni namna gani both sides zaweza benefit kwenye ardhi inayo leta migogoro na maisha yaendelee... na that applies to the whole nations.... Ndio maana hizi International Organisations huchukua kitambo kuweka their manifestations in action tokana na kwamba kila Kiongozi anakua ameacha kwake kumechina.....
Well hio second para, what is a little dharau from the owners if you can get Land, food, peace and harmony? Hao watu hawana option bana. Somalia is no Land to live....
Napenda your concept of a good leader. Sijaona na usijaribu kunifafanulia eti JK ana hizi qualities, not in Africa, ngumu.
Sasa nina swali, kiongozi awaangalie wananchi kivipi?
I believe you know kazi za hawa watu, which in other words would be saying the type of Leaders I admire. BTW JK is a good man at heart but a weak Leader, He has done a lot for this country which at the moment may seem as damage and disastrous; ila naamini history huko mbeleni itaona mchango wake katika kukuza Democracy katika nchi ya Tanzania.
In Red; It does not matter kua the leader in question kashindwa kufurahisha kila mtu (kwanza itakua vigumu else huyo leader ni mnafiki!). Awe na uchungu na nchi na wananchi.... na juu ya hapo awe na qualities of a Great leader who is not afraid of making major decisions hasa in relation to the Betterment of the Nation. Hapo Mzalendo believe me you..... Leader akiwa hivo ni rahisi hata kufanya kazi; kwamba hata kama ana delegate, atahakikisha kuna jopo za kweli za quality insurance kuhakikisha all inaenda ipasavo na to it's best.
In Beige; Mzalendo kuwaangalia wananchi sio tu kua wahakikisha umewafanyia kila kitu.... HAIWEZEKANI! Bahati nzuri nchi zote hizi zina rules, guidelines na principles ambazo in most cases ziko impressive on paper; BUT Unfortunatley hazitelekezwi ipasavo... Hakuna kusema kua Serkali ipo that interested katika soko la mazao, ama quality ya end product, ama Processing machines, ama incentives za kutosha in the sector na sio za ubabaishaji kama ilivo.... That mind you is just one of the ways ya kuweza boresha na kugusa wananchi directly....
TZ kuna coal, natural gas, hydro etc lakini umeme hakuna na uliopo ni very expensive & rationing, hivi tatizo ni nini? and what does that mean wakati wanaopata umeme ni less than 10% ya wananchi? nchi bila umeme maendeleo ni ndoto ndugu wananchi hata kama mkiwa na akili kiasi gani na wachapa kazi 100% umaskini wa kutupwa utaendelea tuu bila umeme...hope kenyans will use it kwa maendeleo ya wote.
