Butterfly Valve for the JNHPP Completed Testing on 8 November 2022
On November 8, the first butterfly valve of the Julius Nyerere project in Tanzania passed the assembly test at one time, and the quality indicators were excellent. The butterfly valve is currently the largest butterfly valve in the industry and the largest butterfly valve independently developed by Dongfang Motor so far. Its total weight exceeds 450 tons and its diameter reaches 6.3 meters. In the process of R&D and manufacturing, the technical team of Dongfang Motor innovatively applied technologies such as 3D digital analog assembly and 3D laser tracking auxiliary measurement, which effectively guaranteed the processing and assembly quality of the Giulino giant butterfly valve.
For a long time, Dongfang Electric has been actively serving the joint construction of the "Belt and Road", demonstrating the mission of central enterprises, leading China's hydropower equipment to "go global", and its products have been exported to 18 countries and regions. In 2020, Dongfang Electric overcame the impact of the epidemic, served the overall situation of "six stability" and "six guarantees", and won the development project of 9 units of the Julius Nyerere Hydropower Station in Tanzania, setting a new record for China's hydropower equipment export capacity .
