Today, after one year and eight months of being in and out of court, I have finally been acquitted of the cybercrime charges I was facing at the Milimani Law Courts—charges that Ruto’s regime imposed on me for speaking out against bad governance.

Last year in January, police officers tried to abduct me along Kamiti Road. I sought refuge inside Kamiti Prison, the very institution where I was working. Instead of respecting the law, more than 10 DCI officers came after me, wasting government fuel and resources to arrest a law-abiding citizen whose only “crime” was calling out bad governance.

Today, the courts have spoken. I am free.

In just two months, I have been acquitted twice. On both occasions, I spent a total of 15 days in police cells. The first charge I was acquitted of was terrorism a charge that had no evidence to sustain it.

They tried the cells.
They tried the courts.
They tried intimidation.
They tried to silence me.

But I am still standing.

You can arrest a person, but you cannot arrest the truth. You can intimidate a voice, but you cannot silence a movement.

We shall keep going regardless.

Aluta Continua.
