Naivasha depot is small depot in between big ones ie Nairobi and the yet to be built kisumu icd.There will be no cranes and the render provided confirms that
The embarkment (railroad)is outside icd (there's even a fence in between them) but branches off INTO the icd.The embarkment hinders nothing
Forklifts for general cargo will definitely be there..give them time.

I call that good planning, as when checked population, Soga town had 4,000 inhabitants in 2012! Meaning even if the population doubled by 2019, there will be around 8,000 inhabitants! I don't understand why should TRC build a palace as people demand? I heard Kilosa station will be bigger as in 2002 the population was 26,000+ meaning over 30,000 inhabitants r residing around the area!

Thats either a weighbridge and/or the exit/entrance for trucks that will also have x-ray scanners on the sides to scan containers as the leave the dry port.....

Like what they have at the Nairobi ICD or Mombasa port








This one is at the Kenyan-Uganda Border

If you look/zoom at the picture of the container yard, you will see two red container reach stacker forklifts




When the SGR was launched, Both the Nairobi ICD and Mombasa port SGR container yard used them before the big cranes were fitted into place







Even the MGR uses them

Kwa hizo picha haukuona branch ya reli inayoingia ndani ya ICD??? The rail on the high embankment is outside the ICD, trains wont stop on this main line, they will branch off into the ICD where the rail will be on the same level with the floor/surface of the ICD
 
The Naivasha ICD will be served by two trains a day and already two shipping lines have committed to take their cargo directly from the Port of Mombasa to Naivasha

Bandari ikafanya kazi na vifaa kidogo, baada ya miezi kama sita hivi, hivyo vifaa nyengine vikawasili unaona vimeegeshwa hapo nimeweka mshale, Ukiangalia bandari mpya ilikua tayari ishaanza kujaa... Hapo kando yake upande wa kulia berth number 22 ilikua ishaanzwa kujengwa




Hii ni picha ya majuzi inaonyesha berth 21 (hapo nimeweka mshale) .. Iliopo kando yake ni berth 22 mpya ambayo inajengwa kwa sasa. Uki zoom kwa hio picha utaona berth 21 imejaa kila aina ya vifaa !!!!!



So ukiambiwa usubiri utaona vifaa hapo Naivasha ICD, we tuliza boli tu, hii game sio mbio za sprint za 100m, hii ni marathon mbio za masafa marefu.. Inaeza ikawa hata ni mmwaka ujao ndo ukaanza kuona hizo gantry crane kubwa kubwa zikianza kutumika rasmi.

Hizi ni project za aina zake bana, Usifikiri mtamaliza kujenga lile bwawa lenu la maji sijui linaitwa stegla gorge na kesho yake umeme wa 2000MW utakua unafika majumbani mwa watu... itachukua kama angalau miaka miwili-mitatu hivi, au hata zaidi kama mtajenga in phases ndo mfike capacity....

Usifikiri eti SGR yenu itaanzishwa leo na kesho yake mabehewa yote ya mizigo yawe yako bandarini yanangojea kutumika..... Sio kila kitu kitaingiliana lakini hauwezi kuzulia kuanzisha project iliokamilika 99% kwasababu ya issue ndogo ambazo unaweza kutumia kitu mbadala ambacho kinaweza kufanya kazi kama hio reach stacker badala ya gantry crane...
