Cost comparison SGR Kenya vs SGR Tanzania

and? shouldn't the GoE stop people using the rail to transport their cattles? A fence can do! BTW in Kenya cows r also transversing ur SGR!

As for the bridge i see no problem whatsever as far as i know the steel below the bridge is pig iron steel i.e. strong than u can imagine to withstand 35 axle load and not ur 25 axle load SGR that its embarkement has already collapsed! stop tripping so low!

FYI here r bridges in Europe

as for tunnels u r stupid to take a picture of a tunnel before it is finished! See progress on our tunnels

The only difference is Ethiopia SGR r for single stack wagons

These statements prove you have not used Kenya SGR. Only maybe 20% or less of tickets are bought at the counter. Many of those days ahead of time. Those ticketing stations are free alot of time. Tickets are bought online or using ussd upto 3 months before. You print at a ticket printing station, usually takes seconds for one passenger. Type in a code, ticket comes out. There are about 8 of these.
There are 4 scanning stations and are walk through, unless you have an issue with bags it takes seconds to pass.
I do not know what you mean by boading gates, no such thing here. 1000 People wait and 1500 during peak season are in waiting room and walk through the tickets scanners onto train 30MINs before departure. Someone here said 2hrs.
If a station 2x bigger than Dar station is this full, sasa mtaweka viti nje kama old JNIA watu wakae au hamtarajii waTz kutumia reli, which might be the case with this tiny rooms you call stations.

You exposed yourselves by posting long Queues, Sweaty Crowds & total confusion.
Its only shows that Quality of Service is very poor.
I have been at SGR station in the morning, Despite there being large waiting bays, no one sits there..its a waste, everyone is always standing in a long Queue waiting to be sniffed by a dog, getting his/her printed ticket (not paying as you wrongly put it payment is done be4 with mpesa) , or removing belts & earings at the poorly equiped scanning station.
Solve those problems stop defending mediocrity..NBO station can easily do away with 3/4 of its area..No one goes to a station to "enjoy" sitting his ass on hard metal chairs surrounded by smelly sweaty strangers. People want to board as quickly as possible & get to their destination

Wenzako Ethiopia ndio hawa

Few facts before we get to that:
Wanagenerate 4,300MW

-------------------------------------------
The entire railway transportation system has not been immune from a wide-area electric power blackout contributing to a series of disruption on its operations between the Addis-Djibouti rail networks.
The study Gedion and his team have conducted indicates that: “For instance, by the end of October 2019, the number of power cuts that occurred on train operation have reached to 6,742, and the overhead line reaching to 1,736.”
The frequent power cuts not only has affected the efficiency of the railway transport, but has also led to anomalous operations including rescue, slope stopping, regression, and a very serious impact on train operation safety. Some 60 percent of interruptions took close to three hours before the train’s returned to normal operations. But in some instances, three percent of the total events have caused more than a day long outages. The total interruption time was found out to be exceeding 4,800 hours since the start of railway operations across the corridor.
-----------------------------------------

Ethio - Djibouti Railway in pictures....

-------------

Yani (Power outages in firms in a typical month (number)

hili linatokea Ethiopia kwavile Ethiopia haikuweka plan nzuri kuhusu umeme!
Kinyerezi I and II tayari Kinyerezi I extension imekamilika! Kinyerezi III loading! Mtwara kuna project ya gas power plant!

FYI sasa hivi hamna power rationing Tanzania! Keep doubting, it is ur right as a Kenyan u r deliberately trying to be blind!

Mnyonge mnyongeni haki yake mpeni...
Kenya SGR station zenu ni nzuri regardless mmepoteza hela au la..but station zenu ziko bomba na ni long term plan itayowachukua muda mrefu mpka kuzipanua tena..Tz tunakazi ya kuzipanuna in few years sio kwa jinsi ya population inavyokuwa kubwa...13k sqm hazitoshi kwa Dar in next 5 years watu watabisha but huo ni ukweli ..unless kuwe na effiency ya ukataji wa ticket wa ajabu mfano kama card za BRT na pia treni zisisubiriane sana

We might be superior kwa speed..na electic trains ..ila kwa stations zenu ziko poa .. Zaidi..hata kama mmewaste hela...

Plus nimeona mnaongelea swala la umeme..alot of people think Tz umeme ni kidogo kwenye hizo 1650mw zinazokuwa produced .ni za tanseco peke yake.

Most industries za Coast na Dar zinatumia umeme wa Gas from TPDC and Songas..ndo maana demand ya umeme from main Grid Tz ni ndogo

About 50 industries za pwani zinatumia Gas.na industries are the main consumers of Umeme mfano twiga cement wenyewe wanatumia 40Mw from Songas Gas

Nairobi Terminus is not above 15000 sq m! FYI even in developed countries one station can not help to solve the population esp. to a city of over 5 mln inhabitants!

And none of these cities built them at a go! I don't think he terminal is above 15,000 sq m! Dar will need at least three more stations of the same size at remote locations for a smooth operation! Lets say one in Mbagala another in Tegeta aside one in places Ubungo or Mbezi!

And those terminus should be connected to the main ..feeding it ?

Nmeipata point yako
