Cost comparison SGR Kenya vs SGR Tanzania

Nimejaribu kusoma hii debate yenu kuna mahali naona mnamiss if I'm not mistaken, kwa nini mnacompare vipande viwili vyenye urefu tofauti Dar-Moro na Nairobi-Mombasa ili mpambano uwe fair weka Dar- Makutupora vs Nairobi - Mombasa tuone kazi 😀.
Actually Dar-Morogoro-Dodoma-Makutupora equivalency yake (in distance) ni Mombasa-Nairobi -Naivasha!

Ukirudi hadi pale huu mjadala ulianza utagundua ni Geza Ulole ndo alianza kwa kudai eti Dar-Moro iko na madaraja mengi kuliko Mombasa-Nairobi.... So kutoka mwanzo mjadala ulikua ni huo.
Lakini hata ukachanganya hadi makutopora bado haifikii ya Mombasa-Nairobi.

Na pia mimi sijagusa Nairobi-Naivasha, manake Dar-Makutopora VS Mombasa-Naivasha ndo ziko karibu kutoshana kiurefu. Ikiwa Dar-Moro-Makutopora ni 202km + 348km = 550km VS Mombasa-Nairobi-Naivasha = 472km + 120km = 592km.

Lakini hata tukiacha hayo, Nairobi-Naivasha tu pekee 120km, ina madaraja ya urefu mkubwa kuliko ukichanganya madaraja yote kutoka Dar hadi Makutopora 550km.
 
Still Mombasa-Nairobi-Naivasha SGR is way expensive 3.6 + 1.5 US $ bln compared to 1.2 + 1.9 US $ bln electrical SGR for Dar-Moro-Dom-Makutupora!

Sasa kama tuko na madaraja mara nne kushinda kwenu na matuta ya urefu wa mara tatu kushinda yenu, what do you expect?

35% ya garama ya SGR Uganda ilikua inaenda kwa ujenzi wa Madaraja, na 25% ni earth works ambayo ni ujenzi wa matuta(35% +25% = 60%).... sasa kumbuka Kenya ina madajara yenye urefu zaidi kuliko Uganda.

Kwa mfano,kwenye phase II Nairobi-Naivasha SGR , Zaidi ya nusu billion usd (over $500 million) imepotea kwenye ujenzi na fidia kwa KWS kwa daraja/viaduct la 6,000m juu ya Nairobi National Park. Hio ni 30% ya garama yote ya phase II imepotea kwenye 6km ya route length.
 
Still u can`t justify the cost! This same Chinese companies have built similar projects around the world and the cost is way lower! Take example JPM bridge in Mwanza, a 6 lanes 3.2 km bridge over a lake at $299 mln! U can`t take that as a valid reason for having a difference $5.1-3.1 bln ( over 2 US$ bln) and still not electric SGR! That cost is too much! Another thing is none of ur bridges over waterbodies are over 200 m !
 
BTW Morogoro-Dodoma-Makutupora will have a number of bridges too!

I wish to know the total km of drainage channel for ur SGR!
