Learning is good to avoid caveats thats why we have chosem electric trains instead of diesel, speed of 120kph and 160kph instead of 80kph and 120kph, axles load of 35 tons instead of 25 tons, European standard instead of Chinese standard, train length of 2km instead of 1 km, engine power of 5100kw instead of 3100kw, full HVAC instead of open windows for carriages, extra comfort coaches instead of old fashioned and outdated coaches
All these comes from Learning visit.
We also went to Ethiopia and learnt their mistakes taking power to the rail line from single point on the National grid and we improved by taking power from multiple locations within the national grid if one point fails the rest will supply electricity. Train will fail to operate if only and only if the whole country in plunged into darkness then it can use battery power.

Kenya railways managed to increase passenger numbers to 5,765,743 in FY 2022/2023 on both MGR and SGR while also increasing cargo to 7.16 Million tonnes in FY 2022/23 for both MGR and SGR. The SGR accounted for 6.2 million tonnes of the 7.16 million tonnes.
