Cost comparison SGR Kenya vs SGR Tanzania

Dar port has clocked 20mln tonnes at the moment only a stupid can compare the port to 500,000 TEU capacity!
Kumbe na deal na watu ambao hata Hawajui tofauti Kati ya TEU na it’s average/equivalent weight... a loaded container/TEU has a typical weight of between 18-24 tons , kwahivyo nikisema 500,000Teus that’s that’s more than 13 million tones!!!!!!!!
E.g Mombasa currently has a capacity of 1.3million TEUs and last year it handled 1.2million TEUs which is about 31.1million tones, while Dar has a capacity of only 500,000TEUs but handled close to 800,000TEUs last year.

Within the region, Djibouti has the highest installed capacity of 1.8 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) annually, but only manages less than a million in volumes. Mombasa has an installed capacity of 1.3 million TEUs.
Dar on the other hand has an installed capacity to handle 450,000 TEUs annually but currently does 750,000 TEUs annually showing the capacity constraint in the region’s’ two largest ports’ infrastructure.

Hapo nje kidogo tu ya Dar port (less than 20 km) eneo la Ruvu kuna dry port inakamilika inaitwa Kwala, itakua na storage capacity 5 times bigger than Dar port. Central line, Tazara na SGR zote zitakua zina shunt cargo hapo.

Lengo ni ku-offload cargo ya Dar port kabla ya kupelekwa mikoani na nchi nyingine.

So in relative terms Dar port itakua na endless capacity from sometimes end of next year....

This year stats will be out in January so chill!
Then you shouldn't have jumped to using stats that don't exist...
For you to increase your performance from 650K to 1m TEUs that would be a 53% increase in container handling in one year! That would be the highest rate of increase for any major port in the world!
Mind you there was a decrease in exports from mineral companies this year because of your policy changes... So what could possibly lead to such a huge increase ???? Or are you just day dreaming
