Kwahivyo badala ya kuangalia ya huku Kenya ambayo tayari inafanya kazi, chunga sije ukajisahau kwamba mna yenu ya kutafakari Kwa hio yenu ambayo haijaanza kufanya kazi.

Electric trains overhead mains draw power from multiple sources through a dedicated line in the event of power failure in one place the other sources will still be able to supply also locomotives do have onboard power sources should the situation get worse. Being a single track is not a problem there is an additional line running parallel to the main line for the case of Dar Moro the distance is 190km but over 300km of SGR rail track is being built accommodating the parallel tracks as well.

Kama umakini ukiwepo ni ngumu kutokea blackout coz umeme wa SGR utakuwa na special grid yake. SGR haitatumia umeme wa gridi ya taifa. Pia kuna kituo cha ku-step up\down umeme after every 50 km.

Already cargo on only Kenya SGR is more than what Dar receives since Dar port is a third of Mombasa port. Hii profit ya Tanzania SGR itatoka wapi?

Yes I have, burning diesel to produce electricity. Kenya's train are diesel electric.

Diesel-electric locomotives sio dual mode but a diesel generator with electric traction motors for turning the wheels. What you mean is electro-diesel locomotives which are expensive and not widely used. Mpaka saa hii sijaona mpango yoyote ya ku unua locomotives ya TZ SGR na ati mnataka kuanza operatios November..., sioni kama zitakua hybrid locomotives.
Reasons for Kenya to use diesel first
1. Cheap to begin, no power lines to construct saa hii.
2. Kenya haina base load power reserves big enough to sustain reliable SGR trains. Maybe by 2025.
3. Diesel trains bado zitafanya kazi on electrified paths, so upgrades zinaeza fanywa pole pole.
4. Easier to do double stacking
5. Reliable and power grid issues independent. Kaxi haisimami the whole route
