Unajua hawa walikuwa wanajipa moyo ati dry ports hazikuzingatiwa katika design ya electrical SGR Tanzania ila wanakuwa wabishi baada ya kugundua kuna dry ports zaidi ya kumi to supplement the electrical SGR Tanzania on cargo collection and redistribution! Sasa wameshikwa wazimu! If iwere a Kenyan i would be much worried of the watervessels currently being constructed in Lake Victoria and Lake Tanganyika and Indian Ocean as electrical SGR Tanzania has already proven to be more superior than diesel SGR Kunyaland!

Today Scania East Africa Limited has commenced construction of its KES 1 billion new facility in Mlolongo, Machakos County, which is scheduled for completion by October 2021.

The ground breaking ceremony which was graced by H.E Eng. Francis Maliti, Deputy Governor, Machakos County, representatives from the Machakos County Ministry of Trade, Industrialization and Innovation and the project contractor Ark Construction, saw Scania take the next step in cementing its roots in the region.

The new facility will comprise of the most ultra-modern workshop in East Africa and will enable the company to better serve its customers through increased working capacity, enhanced digital capacity and an enhanced service offering. The facility will also incorporate green technology in line with the company’s commitment to the sustainable development goals and its commitment to driving the shift towards sustainable transport
Additionally, implementing sustainable business operations is key across all the markets where Scania operates in, and this is why the Scania East Africa headquarters will also incorporate the latest technology and use local resources such as water and electricity in a sustainable way.

It has been 6 years since Scania East Africa began its operations in Kenya and our vision from inception has been to grow in the market and cement our roots in the country by providing the best heavy commercial transport solutions in the region. We are taking the next step towards this vision with the construction of our new facility despite the current economic turmoil brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. Mwenye anabeba kontena kutumia lory atakua anaingia hadi ndani ya port na kupakia mzigo na kuanza safari ya kuenda morogoro, 6hrs later atakua alifika,wakati huo huo kontena ya kupitia SGR itakua bado iko pale Ruvu marshaling yard inangojea shunting alafu ndo treni ikijaa inakimbizwa kwa 120km/hr (too late, lorry la 40km/hr litakua lilishaondoka asubuhi na mchana lilishafika Moro )

Acha uongo hakuna any scania truck being assembled in Tanzania 😂🤣😂, all those scania trucks unaona hapo tz are assembled in either Kenya ama South Africa alafu zinapelekwa Tz.

Broh huyo mzee asikudanganye kuwa Kuna assembly plant ya Scania Tanzania. Trucks za scania are assembled in Mombasa alafu zinapelekwa Tz by road.
