#COVID19 COVID-19 is historical in Tanzania: Why don't USA, UK, EU and others copy from Tanzania how to fight against the Corona Virus?

I believe it does just that. But here is the question why don't we in Tanzania have something like that the public consumption? It doesn't make sense that data from other countries is at your finger tips. But the one from your own country is nowhere to be found.

C'mon man....It's time we should admit that we took a bet thinking that corona will live with in friendly terms.
The first wave was history. The second wave shall ebb too. Why would anyone think the wave (not the disease), shall remain forever?

There are campaigns for Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI) -- my mentor Dr. E.G. Mtalo is forefront pushing for this for years -- which, if successful, will provide for policies and procedures of making geospatial data freely and publicly available. Other Open Data Initiatives exist as well. Let's keep fingers crossed that they succeed.

So our national strategy is to buy time because it will disappear.

At least his fellow PhDs at NIMR are cashing in with their inventions. Dang, that country of ours..

I am not sure about that. But somewhere in this thread Msemaji wa Serikali amenukuliwa akisema strategy nyingi ambazo serikali inazitumia kupambana

You sound desperately wanting the wave to stay and to wreak havoc. Any news or speculation to the contrary seems to disappoint you. Kulikoni?

They are Authorized for Emergency Use. They are not Approved.

As far as I am concern, the EUA is as good as the approval itself. They have issued EUA for anthrax, ebola, enterovirus, H7N9 influenza, and Middle East respiratory syndrome. So the process isn't that new. Besides, anything you do in life involves some risks. So there are risks taking vaccine. But the benefits outweigh the drawbacks.

You say your mentor is pushing for years to get Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI). Probably he will to do the same for the next 10 years to get the funding. Research and development isn't our thing.

They had an EUA for Chloroquine last year. Emergency Authorization and Approval are quite different. Tunasubiti waaprove kwanza ndio tutumia. Hata India nasikia wamekataa chanjo hizo mpaka zithibitishwe usalama wake.

Because the vaccine makers have nowhere made claim that their vaccines protect someone from getting sick from COVID.

Again, what is the vaccines effective rate of protection from the virus/disease?

Good question... and this notion that they recommend those who have already been infected with covid to still take the vaccine bets me. BTW, I'm rooting for the science all the way but they're over selling us on this. It starts to look like they're shoveling this idea of vaccine down our throats.

They have indeed become suspicious: "Follow the Science" appears to mean the science which agrees with their motives (whatever the motives), and they lose it when others choose science-backed options they do not like.

For, surely, they seem to be shoving dogma to be accepted without questions: branding names to anyone who dares to question. Wanaturudisha enzi za heresy, just tu kwa vile mtu anathubutu kuwaza tafauti.
